Sounds like it's been a tough time for them, but it's good they are looking on the bright side xI love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

Re: Join up! Army against the grog!!! March 2018
hey there littlepinkcat good to see another ol' face back in the barracks!
banjaxed after a single day back... like first day after the hols... but they had to move the staff room... or to be more precise the staff room needs a new ceiling cos all the water and rain and SNOW over the last wee while has broken the straw off the camels back (the ceiling was on it's way out anyway) and it has a cracking crack right across it :egad: One of the classrooms was out of bounds for similar reasons. Ah the joys.
Job advertised for the school over the road from me flat. Going for it. We'll see what happens. Irony is is that it's for a post that a teacher had who has been moved to THAT school that i;ve been told has no place for me!! Like, wtf? Try-la-la...
Hope youse have had a good Monday.
JackieClaire ... thinking i might pop down to Newcastle one morning for a FREE coffee
Right - must be off and get with me bedtime book.
See you on the flip side -

Evening Army
My sister's 60th birthday.
My mother always liked to give a card so my niece bought one for her to give to my sister.
My mother put in 5 euro in change - as if my sister was only a 6 year old :dispirited:
She's disappearing slowly ..........

Ahh Satz, bless her heart. My mum did that with Mr JC's birthday card complained bitterly we didn't have pound notes (she must have remembered decimalisation) so she had to put a pound coin in...........I know we never got along but that broke my heart.
I'm sure I can rustle up a few coffees........I have a hidden stashIt could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning! Good to see you Pinky - and oh yes Benjy - there were a lot of poignant sad moments with my mum too - I s'pose we'll all have them with the elderly - but it's especially hard when it's our mum -- the person we have loved unreservedly all our lives... try and just enjoy her good times... xxxxContentedly sober since 27/12/2011
