He's 4 - and as mad as a march hare - but he's wonderful - enjoy the crochet - think I may need to notch that skill up as one that passed me by ;-)

Feeling nauseous as shit - think it's the antibiotic - s'posed to take them with food - but it's 4 a day - even I can't eat 4 times a daylease:

Where the feck does time go?
What about a glass of milk or a hot chocolate then take the tablets?

Crochet is the most frustrating thing I have ever done.......I'll keep at it.

I'll prolly be in the beginners class 'til death but its a good laugh. Teacher was wittering on about diplomas the other week, doubt that'll happen to any of us let alone me.......mind you I didn't know I had so much patience or knew so many swear words.

i eat about 6 times a day... :eeks: But as Satz says, like sometimes it's just a couple of choccie bics. It's them breaks at teaching - and by 10.30am i'm starving marvin again...

How's today been troops? Molls - jealous you're getting a couple of days away! But enjoy, am sure you will.

JC persevere with crotches... sorry, mean crutches.... excuse me, i mean crochet. The army are expecting crocheted beanies !!

One more day and then... two days OFF. Jeez, working at THAT school is tiring and would have done nothing to attract me to teaching. Honest. Kids swearing today... one kid went so wild he had the 4 most senior members of staff chasing him and shouting at him (yes, shouting at him) as he shouted back. Bedlam. I mean, 1 single child and it takes the Head Teacher, Associate HT, DHT and Principle teachers to deal with him?! What hope does his regular class teacher have (which is me on a Friday)?

But enough of school.

Some good stuff being written here yesterday and today.. good chewy-food-for-thought. Nice to read it and hear it from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Welcome back Pinky.
So the job saga continues, the place closed for 3 days during the snow storms and now the boss has refused to pay us for the time off even though he withdrew the option of our working so left short again with no option offered of taking it as holidays or working the time up. Now bear in mind I am a full time employee of 5+ yrs not on a zero hours contract.
I have an interview on Tuesday, how's that for proactive?

Good man Tabs, way to go and good luck. Our place only closed bare minimum but we were given the option of making the time up, holidays or unpaid. It did not affect me as I only work Monday and Tuesday so missed it. Girl I job share with missed 3 days.

Very frosty out there this morning. Short walk and then crochet. Stick with it JC, it will all come together. I still need help but the difference since I started is amazing.

Well I know that we were told in a rather unpleasant email that if we didn't make it into work because of weather we would have to take it out of hols - however - they closed themselves eventually so they will pay us.. I know Joey wasn't paid for the 3 days the site was closed down - so I think it may depend on your work place - was asking Joe would he have paid the staff when he had the shop and he said he did but he didn't have to..... fecking poor tho - delighted you are moving on Tabs!!

Apparently if the workplace is closed they should pay you as you are being denied the right to work.
However if they are open for business you forfeit the days.

I think though it's a very gray area and there is no legislation on how to manage it. You'd need a union to fight your corner Tabbs.
