Sorry to hear about your mam Satz.. And good idea on the letter. Or an email as Molly got, he can't rip it up then! (which is what my buddies teenager did recently).
Anon - my hubby was the same, wasn't too vocal about it, but he misses his drinking partner. But he drinks less and less now and there's no messy drunken arguments (sober proper ones when necessary!).AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Morning Army Alkos :checkin:
Have the flu - from either Australia ( Aussie flu) or possible just down the road (work) :haha:
Headache, bones ache, lovely hacking cough.
And tiredness - oh the tiredness. I'm almost glad I got it because the absolute exhaustion I thought was down to depression or something.
That said - for 20 years I've never had as much as a cold - this is my second time to get this flu this year. So stress may be the culprit.
I ain't happy

Re: Join up! Army against the grog!!! March 2018
Good Morning Army!
Thank you for the hugs. IamMary, we don't know what we can handle until we have to handle it. Honestly, I thought I was done...a truly devastating time for me, and I used alcohol for a slow ride to death. I strongly believe that with time and incredible pain, we die, barely survive or we rise like a phoenix. It is an incredible lesson to be taught about life. I am 29 days AF today, and doing my best to chose the path of a phoenix. I've grown quite a bit in these 29 days and feel myself emerging from those ashes. It's a process to be sure.
Alright, Molls. I come and go here, so come find me if I miss a question.Yeah, sinus lift is an upper option for me, too. I don't want those Zygomatic implants. I suggested the sinus lift approach, but there is no guarantee the grafts will work. That's on the back burner for now. The Phoenix does not want to fly into that territory right now.
Satz, love the shout out to Tony. Great picture.
Hugs to all.The Drunkards Progress. From the first glass to the grave...

Evening,
Used to hack me off in the bank, when you had to stand in for a higher grade and get feck all.
Lovely crochet gossip.......I mean lesson today. Our teacher and her husband are adopting a little girl (4 years old)........the little one's social worker said its the worst case of neglect she'd ever seen..........any way........this last couple of weeks they've been visiting her daily until the big day when the forms are signed and the inks dried.
The lassie went running off and brought back a banana for her new mummy and daddy......full of excitement when she handed it over........and said 'guess what.........you open it and can eat the inside'........this wee girl had only just found out what a banana was........brought tears to the whole class. It could be worse, I could be filing.
AF since 7/7/2009
