Re: Join up! Army against the grog!!! March 2018

Hello.. I'm here JC.. thanks for asking, just one of those stupid weeks that I could do with a 36 hour day!
As the kids get older, the demands shift and its NEVER ending! What was I doing moaning about a few sleepless nights
Par for the course as Rustop says..
Hope your ICA trip is good fun. Do they have a few drinks in the evening? How does that work for you?

Cottage looks fabulous JackieClaire! April is a great time of year for a break. We are off west too next week..

Hope things sort themselves out Molls..
Poor Satz, your have a shitty few weeks  I suppose these things can drag on for a week or 2..

Disposing of bottles memories:nightmare:
Id wrap each bottle individually in news paper and bury them into the bottom of the bin. but there would be way more bottles than rubbish! a small amount would go to the bottle bank, but only a couple, wouldn't want anyone to think I had a drinking problem

Do you run before work RC? I'm a night owl (no shit), drag myself out of bed in the morning.. Id much prefer to be the opposite.
Probably doesn't really matter, as long as your getting enough sleep??
I do run in the evenings though.. in the mornings at the weekends, but not too early, 8.30 and that kills me.

Good morning people-- Hoping things improve quickly Satz and Molly and the light is beginning to appear at the end of the tunnel
Mary did you drink through your running days? I tried to run with a hangover but it was impossible as apart from the headache I had terrible stomach complications, which meant frequent stops.
Daughter was home from Norway at midnight so late trip to the airport another reason to be glad to be sober!
RC will ponder over your running schedule today as I sometimes had similar problems when I was a faster runner.
Got to fly as we have no food in the house!

Morning, lovelies.
Be a love, Mrs A, and get us a loaf while you're at the shop.
Off out the door in a second to my final crochet session. As you said, Molls, not sure if it was yesterday or the day before all this chat about keeping the group going on a casual basis might just be pie in the sky..........but never mind I learned a new skill andI met some new people and didn't have a panic attack.
Hoping you're on the mend Satz.
Mers, remember to take time to breath.
Off outta the door.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning folks, no running for me but back to my yoga last night which I have missed for the past few weeks. Quickly forgot how grounding, calming and focused it makes me feel after a nice long session.
So finishing up work today as our fixed spring week off was announced as being next week, this was only decided on Wednesday by the big boss man so if you want to make any plans to get away that was your notice. As if I needed any further evidence as to why I need to get away, from what was described to me recently by a former work colleague as 'a toxic place', then that was it.
Onwards and upwards eh.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Morning folks.
Good luck with your 'leaving' TAbbs - you are doing the right thing.
You could have hung on with a sense of loyalty - but by the sounds of it - it's a sinking ship. Time to put on your life jacket & go.

What she says and every good wish for the new job Tabs. Hope you are feeling better today Satz.

Getting ready to go. You know Mary never even thought of a bar. Didn’t think it was that kind of place and it was never mentioned. Just the meditation and the fact that we would have a classroom. This lot are bit like the granny square mafia, don’t think it will be a problem. Do you think you will keep up the crochet JC?

Better get a move on. If they don’t have WiFi I’ll check in Monday. Have a great weekend.

Morning Army.

I'm just checking in here on day 36. I'm posting in the nest for the most part as I'm having health issues, so not much energy for a lot of post. Thought I should give you all a shout out and hugs! :heartbeat:

satz123 - how ya feeling today, Doc?
JackieClaire - Julias Caesar no less?! Scrumptious! Did you order a chicken topping? I do like chicken on my caesar. And far too much dressing.

Hey mers, I get up ridiculously early sometimes - 4.30am. But then I'm in my bed for 10pm most nights. But am usually banjaxed by... well, what is it now... 5.30pm Yes... By about 5pm... but then most people get up say between 6am and 8am - I used to... back in my 20s start drinking at about 10pm, in bed by midnight, up at 6. But... with taking on the directing of this show and evening rehs etc, I just was thinking if i'd have more time and more energy if I changed when I ran. Dunno. Prob six and half a dozen.

But ... i DO, really do, like running when there's nobody else about. There's something magical about early morning runs - evenings too, I think. Something about the transition of the day-to-night-to-day.

Hey Tom - good to see you popping by.

Crusader........day 36, .......well done sweetheart.

Tabbers, we'll have your leaving do on here.......bit of cake and a few cheese scones eh????

The plan is for the crochet class to stay in touch, fingers crossed. I'm going to miss it and defo I'll keep on........and will keep an eye out for any other short courses but unfortunately nothing appeals for next term. There is ceramics but I doubt Mr JC's going to be pleased if I buy a kiln......wool's a bit cheaper. Made the teacher promise to keep in touch as all us mother hens need to be kept updated on her adoption of a little girl.

I'm just starting to come round. Bought me a shitload of Vit C,& CoQ10 today to build up my immunity.
Back to work tomorrow and Sunday - at least it'll get me back on track and back to normality.

Crusader - well done on day 36 - awesome !! :applause:

Evening,
Just home, but thats the madness mostly done now..
36 days Tom!! Thats flying..

Glad you feeling a bit more normal Satz. Young fella ok?

Anon, I was running during my drinking days, but not much, 5ks mostly and dragged my hungover self around so many times.
Suppose Ive taken it up a notch of late, first half marathon booked for a few weeks..something Id only dream about a few years ago.

Love the mornings too, before most people wake, except Im way too lazy to shift myself most days!

A big new adventure Tabbers! Bet you skipped out of work today!

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.
