      Was just thinking about you and there you were

      26 years today since Jenny's hole in the heart was repaired..........funny how that three hours she was in surgery seems much longer at the time than the last 26 years.

            [MENTION=22411]IamMary[/MENTION].........it was at her check-up at 5 years old before she started infant school (they do that to all children over here or at least they did) The doctor just noticed a bit of an irregular heart beat and send us for a scan. Nearly dropped through the floor when the consultant told us. She went in three months later and was out the following week and back at school after the Easter holidays......which was handy. So 4 weeks off in all. A day in ICU, a day on the ward and then racing up and down the blooming hospital corridor with a wee Down's baby laughing his head off. My SIL used to sneak Chinese food in for us both as the hospital food was appalling.

            I'll be forever grateful to the staff at the Freeman Hospital.

              And she clearly hasn't looks back since [MENTION=7008]JackieClaire[/MENTION]! Well spotted to the doctor that picked that up. Had the same brief fright with one of mine, irregular heartbeat, but turned out ok.
              I heard recently that theres a large percentage of people walking around with undetected holes in their hearts. Dont know how true that is.

              I hate this clock changing business now tomorrow. Well, I dont mind it when we gain an hour, but losing it is very mean.

                      Yes its nonsence... done now i suppose and the days will ne longer so i will shutup!
                      lovely fresh day out there, usual matches, cooking, cleaning.. we are away early tomorrow. I still brace myself in anticipation of negotiating the 'wine' at dinner and the 'few drinks' after.. not concerned but its always there in my mind. Maybe thats not a bad thing..
