Re: One Step at a Time - March 2018

Glassie, so good to hear from you. When is the thesis due? How do you manage all the pressure of deadlines?

Bird, I have heard of the magic bullet and I believe with every fiber of my being that juicing is giving you more energy and healthy for you. Perhaps I will look into it further. What do you juice?

Nora and bird, what do you do with these treasures the cats bring you?

Palm Sunday and I'm off to church. I happen to love this week leading up to Easter. A time to reflect and not about me. I will have the family here for Easter. Do you guys celebrate Easter at all? I have already gone through 3 4.5lb bags of jelly beans! I'm really thinking I need to cut that out and juice my body back to health.

Wishing you all a fabulous AF Sunday!

Morning friends,Bird,I read that cats think their giving their parents"gifts" when they bring in birds, mice, etc not sure I'd want any of those presents haha Nora, look into the mag,it has to be that certain kind tho for pain,it's certainly worth a shot and can't hurt in small doses Glassy,I swear if I don't see the kids for a few days they look like they've grown in just that short of time! Well Romeo has he's gotten sooo chubby his doc wants Kell to feed him water in a few bottles a day cuz he's off the weight chart for his age,I just say he's health,You enjoy yours, they are a blessing waves to Liz and Rusty and wishes for a super, sober Sunday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

So many people don't even have food.
NoraC, they diagnosed me with several things. There were a lot of variables involved at that time, so I can just say as I cleared up other issues, the fibro pain left with it. Food and my digestive health was behind a lot of it. I was in a very stressful situation as well, so I think stress added to it. I hope you find some answers for yourself.

Hi folks. Had a good morning. I had my massage. :yay: Hubby didn't get his because his history of stroke (cerebral aneurysm) and they don't have a Dr's release on file. They've never asked him that before. But, we went out to brunch. Had a few wishful thoughts when I saw the champagne flowing but then told myself - 'Yeah, well, you screwed that up a long time ago.' Spent many a Sunday wasting the day - starting at brunch (as soon as I woke up) and continuing until I would pass out. Glad that I'm not in that place anymore.

Glassie - when are you all done with your thesis? How is work going? I guess you are still in the midst of the panel you were appointed to work on? I'm glad that you had a tiny break to see HRH.

Liz - I hope you had a good time at Church. Nice that you are having the family over fr. We are not planning anything.

I need to take care of some work stuff so I better get with it. Long, involved story but our certification has been suspended or on notice or something. Have to get the corrective action submitted and approved before Friday or we will be removed from the approved supplier list. Which is not good.

OH - one thing I meant to say. Hubby's anger is always directed to inanimate objects. I was never worried that he would be violent towards us. Thank you for caring, Glassie.

Good Afternoon, Friends!

Home from church and lunch with my mom. I will go back to the spa this afternoon to work off my lunch and then sit in the hot tub for a while. :-)

Nora-you really are an inspiration to people here....the way your view of alcohol has changed and how you can reframe champagne and see/remember the unhappiness it brought you. That's such a shame that hubs couldn't get his massage, too!

Pauly-how old is Romeo now? I agree...he's probably fine for his age weight-wise. You DO have just a LITTLE experience having kids, right? LOL

Glassie-I hope your schedule calms down so you can spend more time with HRH.
bird-I have a Magic Bullet...I use it for smoothies but I have never tried juicing.

Liz-It's SO hard for me to stay away from Easter candy. LOL. Easter plans: My mom and I will go to church together in the morning. My sister is making dinner for our Easter celebration.
Crusader-I hope you find relief from your Fibro. Please let us know how what you are juicing. I am very interested. ;0)

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday!

Rusty - sounds like a nice day. I was glad to hear that you'll be working from home for most of the week. Did you get your mom's table moved in ok?

Nora, working on the weekend? I sure hope they appreciate you!

Rusty, hot tube sounds so nice! It was cool and cloudy here today, so I was on the treadmill. Erin took us out for lunch after church and my nephew came along. Had a fun time!

Pauly, once Romeo starts moving around he'll burn more calories. I don't know why these docs make moms so crazy. Glad you're level headed about it.

Hubby is baby proofing the stairs! You can definitely tell there's a baby around. Gates are going up everywhere. Thing is I feel like we just took them down for Mark, lol!

Liz - made me start thinking with the baby proofing. We'll have to do that too. I can't wait.

Son stayed with mom while we went out this morning. He said that DIL was not very happy because she didn't work until 1:00 and they wouldn't be able to spend time together. She's a little bit ..... um, irrational....... at the moment. Hormonal. As hubby said today, she is high maintenance. LOL That's ok, we love her very much. I am very proud of the way son has stepped up and just is taking care of things.
I was talking to my son the other day. We were talking about his adoption and I hold him again that he was the best thing that ever happened in my life. My blessing. He said something about yeah and then everything I put you thru.......2 DUI's. I am sorry that it happened but I am so grateful that he has grown up and taken full responsibility for that. I have to admit that I still have that worry about him in the back of my head. A mother never stops worrying. LOL

Nora you are such a lovely mother and MIL. Being a good MIL is hard work!

Liz and Nora - my thesis was originally due at the end of this month but I am SO far behind it’s going to be at least another couple of months. The original plan was to take some leave from work to complete it (I've accrued more than 5 months paid leave) but I can’t take it while I’m on this task force. Between both, I’m working at least 16/7 these days and I’m a teensie bit exhausted. Never mind – better to wear out than rust out as they say, and things could always be worse!

BTW - HRH's favourite game is peeling all my adhesive baby proofing things from the sharp table corners!

Rusty, I did find resolution for that issue years ago. My current issues are a long the lines of what caused it in the first place. I'm working in a very disciplined fashion to solve them if possible. I am seeing progress with my diet changes and castor oil packs. I still have the upper quadrant pain and nausea when I eat, but my energy has picked up a bit and I'm noting some other positive changes. I made a doctor's appointment for next Tuesday and will continue on with my current lifestyle changes. If not resolved by next week, I have the appointment and if better, I can report that to the doctor and get a blood draw to check me over.

Day 39 and happy to be AF.

Have a good day, all.

@Crusader - glad that you are getting some relief. Good plan to continue with the diet change and see the doctor. Congrats on day 39! Fantastic!

Glassie - I do worry about you my friend. I hope you can get thru this period soon so that you can get some Glassie time. After all, you have some scuba diving lessons coming up.

Well - we're watching that old movie from 1954 Them
