HI guys. Went food shopping today and found a huge bag of our favorite jelly beans, so I started to pull out my Easter decorations. Didn't want to put it out so early, but in light of tomorrow's weather I wanted to brighten up the house. We are officially under a state of emergency. No work tomorrow. Erin's school is closed and Dan is working from home so no baby, either. They are calling for a foot of snow. We shall see.
Went food shopping today and boy was it crazy. Everybody stocking up.

Rusty, I imagine staying in a hotel would get old. Bird we've used air bnb too. We've have some lovely apartments. Sounds like your cabin weekend was lovely. Hope your cold isn't too bad and you feel better soon. Nora hubby was in a much better mood today. He was outside cleaning up and fixing the cover on the boat. He's such an outdoor kinda guy. Taxes are almost done, thankfully.
      Have a great AF night!

Happy hump day! It's snowing here, but not sticking yet. It's not supposed to start sticking till about 6 tonight. So basically I could've gone to work and schools could've stayed open. Wasted a snow day. I think tomorrow will be a problem getting around. I'm going a little stir crazy just thinking about two days home bound :eek-new: I suppose I could clean the house. Off to run on the treadmill for a bit.
Have a great AF day !

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2018

OH yes we got the storm. We faired ok. Lost one large bush around our yard. We went out last night around 7 and plowed and shoveled. It was a heavy wet snow. Slept like a baby last night after that work out. My sister, who lives like 6 miles from me got clobbered. They got over 20 inches of snow. My nephew is on the fire department there and also plows in their town. Every single plow got stuck. 2 fire engines, also go stuck. Three major highways in their area were impassable. Cars and trucks spent the night on the highway. Unbelievably bad. They all lost power. Thankfully the power was turned back on early this morning. My BIL estimated they were getting 4 inches per hour. We got maybe 10 inches. Long night for all of them. So odd how different the snow totals were just a few miles apart. Grateful it's behind us. Grateful I no longer had to make that commute to my old job at the hospital.
They're talking another storm for Monday. So that was my day. Hope everyone enjoyed their Thursday. Rusty, funny how this week dragged for you. I cannot believe tomorrow is already Friday, the week flew here on the east coast. Hubby just got home, he went to a friends house to help him cut up multiple huge branches that fell on his property. Going to make him some dinner. Have a great AF night.

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2018

Glad you survived the storm ok. That really is amazing how different the snow fall was between you & your sister's. I just can't believe that the plows & fire trucks got stuck too. Is it over or are you going to get more? We are supposed to get some rain this weekend. Never really know for sure until it happens though.

I hope that everyone is doing well. Things are ok here.
Mom hasn't had a very good week. Declining - but nothing specifically wrong. The hospice nurse was here on Tuesday and saw how it was. Usually Mom perks up when they are here so they don't see at accurate picture.
My DIL has to go back for another ultrasound where they check the neck and heart. They did it last week but I guess the baby wasn't positioned right to get a good picture. Plus her fibroid is growing. It's about the size of a baseball right now. They are monitoring that closely because it's causing some issues.
C is going to come over on Sunday and stay with Mom so hubby & I can get out. We're going to finally go to the optometrist and get his glasses ordered. I can't even remember how long ago I broke his. Poor guy! He wears his prescription sunglasses to watch TV. Anyway, we are going to just go out and spend a long afternoon the two of us. I am so excited. :yay:

Well - I just turned on TV and Mom is on. I will be back............

OH Nora, I watched mom tonight too. A little upsetting because the one girl drank and she said she lost all that time. IMHO, she didn't lose that time. But for the most part I can identify with the show. Glad you're spending Sunday out with hubby. Sounds like the pregnancy is getting a little complicated. Hope she feels better and things get easier for her,

I was watching a rerun so I don't know what episode or season it was. I just realized that it's on Hulu so I'm going to check it out on there. But, not tonight. I'm off to bed. LOL

By the way, I agree with you 100% that she didn't lose all that time!

                            Hi all,
Taking the kids back to school today. Am still a bit sick. Went to my doc yest to get my asthma meds refilled. Gonna try an online pharmacy because one of them is so expensive and my insurance doesn't pay. Kinda iffy about it but...so yesterday work called and wanted me to come in and build a shipping order. I said I was sick and did not want to unless I had to but they wanted me to come in anyway...so was kinda ticked off about that...it only took me 1.5 hour but seems like someone else could have built it...oh well....went to the finance lady of my friend who died, as he left me some money. Kinda overwhelmed about that, as I can really change things up and move on soon if I want to. I do want to, but it also scares me...I really like north Georgia mountains, where I took the kids last weekend..not too hot, not too cold, not too big, not too small.........Rusty, sorry about the boring job. My job is so boring too........Lizann, that was some storm. Glad you fared well......Nora, glad you are getting out. Hope DIL is ok....well...later
