I am definitely not the scared, lonely & miserable person I was when I first found MWO. I knew what I had to do but I had no idea how to get the job done. All I really had going for me was a heavy duty case of 'Lavan-itude' & a very strong desire to fix myself. I was welcomed & really inspired by a few people who no longer post here. I was so grateful for their help I decided that when I finally felt 'fixed' I would stick around for a while & pay if forward, so to speak. I can hardly believe that's it's been 9 years! So many wonderful things have happened in my life in that time & a few not so wonderful things as well. The best news is that I did not drink for any of those things. I didn't want to drink & that, in itself is a miracle. The power of gratitude is amazing, a true blessing really.

If I can manage to meet my goals I know that the rest of you can too - you just have to convince yourselves & move forward!!!
Stay close to the boards, check in as often as you can, it really helps solidify your quit.

from me Lav.....firstly apologies for not seeing the thread,and secondly for not remembering either...all I can do is re-iterate what others have said.....you are the voice of reason and rationale,you dont tolerate b/s..I respect you as a person,like you as a friend,I know at times you get cheesed off as we all do ,but very seldom if ever show it on here,you guide folks in the right direction,you dont make the journey for them.you dont suffer fools gladly but will help anyone who is falling or failing.
Congratulations on 9 years on not having to pay the duty on booze,waking up with a brass band in your head,a mouth like the sahara..in short well done for being the real you!!!!!!Respect dear lady x
