One Step at a Time - April 2018

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Congratulations Nora!!!!
Hope everyone had a great Saturday! Busy but beautiful spring day here. Was going to buy my flowers and plants today but decided I had better wait another week or too.
Bird your weekend sounds lovely! I know what you mean about soaking it all up, it may be the last time. Enjoy the play tomorrow. Your girls sound very talented!

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Thank you again everyone.e
Picked up our eyeglasses today. I'm having a hard time adjusting to them so we'll see. Mom just did not want to go this morning so we ended up leaving her sitting in her chair. We had the camera on and kept checking in. I was worried we might have a car accident so I had called my niece and my son to tell them that if they didn't hear from me, that Grandma was alone. Geez, nerve wracking.
The nurse came by this afternoon. The last visit from her. She was sad to say goodbye. We have one visit from the aide on Monday and another nurse on Tuesday and then that is it.
What is everyone else up to today?
Bird - I hope that you are having a great time. Can't wait to hear all about it."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi all,
Well it is good to be home with the cats, even though I had a blast over the weekend. The play was good and got to socialize with young adults. They are all so fresh looking and bright eyed and happy. Took dd1 shopping for a dress, which was kinda stressful. but finally found one. Took dd2 grocery shopping. Ate out some. Spent money like crazy. Went and looked at a place. 4 acres on a river 2 miles from a state park with a waterfall. It has a little singlewide trailer on it, which I don't like. Really out there on a dead end and down a twisty road. Kinda too far away from a decent grocery though...anyway....how was everyones weekend?
