Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Thanks for the info on the magnesium malate, Pauly. I'm going to make an appointment with my Dr and go over some things. I will definitely talk to her about that.
I am not going to go on the meds that they routinely treat the fibro with. I've heard too many problems with them. I'm not to that point yet. But, I want to make a dietary change and want to talk to her. It's time for a physical and to have my thyroid checked anyway."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi All,
I am here but I had a long commute today and I have to get up at 3:15 AM tomorrow to go to work… Another long commute but I will be done before noon so I will get a chance to exercise in the afternoon.
techie darling, how are you feeling?
Nora, I am so sorry that you’re in so much pain. I would definitely give the Fibro meds a try if you need them and see if they give you unpleasant side effects. No sense in you being in pain all the time. I am sure your disease is flaring up because of all the tremendous stress you have been under… Between caring for your mother, ending of hospice, and work.
My apologies for not addressing everyone. Big hellos to Pauly, bird, Liz, Mr. V, Glassie and anyone I missed…I am typing on my phone here. Off to bed. I’ll be back tomorrow.Last edited by Rusty; April 24, 2018, 09:39 PM.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Happy hump day! Rusty, 3:15 am, no thank you. Glad you're getting out early. It's a nice treat. I don't like to work out after work. But sometimes you just have to. It's raining here, so no walk outside for me.
paulywogg, oh yes those little girl outfits are so cute! Erin looks at them longingly when we shop too. Love my little guy, but girls are fun to dress. I remember when Mark was born, I was so thrilled! I was so tired of matching the dresses, socks, shoes, bows and ribbons. It was so easy to just dress the boy and not have to deal with the hair and such. Yes the little ones are a lot of work. Logan is just all over the place and into everything.
NoraC, hope you feel better soon. It probably is partly at least due to stress, you poor thing. How sad that you loss all that help. Do you have a back up plan? Spoke to my sister last night and her the social worker keep playing phone tog. We shall see. I was supposed to watch dad tomorrow because mom has a doctors appt. she called me tonight and said dad wanted to go with her. Not sure what happened there. If he has a bad night she'll call me and I will go over. Sigh. . .. I love the name Savannah May, very pretty. Sounds like a little southern bell! You'll have such fun with her. It will definitely lift your spirits!
techie, good to hear from you and hope you're doing ok.
bird, what have you been up to? Did you work today?
Didn't sleep so well last night. Four AM and the battery on the smoke detector decides to go. It was beeping, Lucy freaked out. She barked softly but I felt her shaking next to me, poor thing. Hubby changed the batteries, but that was it, I was awake. Got up early and ended up at work a bit early too.Last edited by Lizann; April 25, 2018, 06:48 PM.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi all,
Well I got the keys to my friends house and cars today. Went over there with the executor guy (Steve) and we spread the ashes. There were more ashes than just him. Also, his mother, 2 dogs and a friend that we didn't know. So we just spread all of them! The house is the biggest mess and not in good shape. I am overwhelmed with it. 3256256256256.02...that is from my cat hahaha....anyway, I will just go start cleaning it up and see how it goes. Maybe I could hire someone. ....Lizann, 4 a.m. ugh, and poor Lucy. My cats are afraid of the alarm too. Glad you are getting in on some warmer weather.....Techie, good of you to pop in. Hope all is going well........Nora, sorry about the fibro. I do hate talking on the phone..Savannah May sounds very nice......hello to Pauly and Rusty!.....oh, dd1 found out she has pre-diabetes. She is upset about it. I will help her with her food choices over the summer and hope for the best. School is out next weekend.....b

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Oh Bird - sorry that dd1 is prediabetic. Hopefully a diet change will make it better. It would probably be better to just hire somebody to start the cleaning. Sounds like there is going to be quite a bit of work involved. It will be worth the $ in the long run. Had to laugh at your cat typing in the middle of the message. :harhar:
Liz - I hope you get some sleep. I haven't been sleeping well either. But, I was asleep at 4:00 am. Ha, ha. Hope you can get some good sleep tonight. Your Mom probably would have appreciated a little alone time away from your Dad. Maybe she can do something fun on another day while you stay with your Dad. Oh - maybe have Mark & hubby stay with your Dad one day while you & your sister take your Mom out for a girls afternoon.
Rusty - sounds like a miserably long day. I hope that you did finish by noon.
Pauly - I would have loved having a little boy but I am excited about the clothes. LOL How did your day working with the witch go?
:hiya: to everyone passing by - happy MAE"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi Friends,
I had a great day and I didn't get out early like I expected but I got a new client....a referral from the client I was with yesterday and today!:yay: This new client is another division of their company and I am just thrilled! So glad I could share the news with all my friends here.:heartbeat: Working with another client tomorrow...another long commute but then I am home through next Monday. :-)
Nora-I love the name Savannah May. So elegant! I love to buy little girls' clothes, too. My niece is having her second child in August and it's another boy. They were really hoping for a girl but oh well...they are delighted anyway and I was hoping they would be open to having a 3rd child but no chance. Hahaha!!
bird-good luck with your friend's house.:hug:Are you planning on getting it cleaned up and then selling it? Sorry to hear about dd's pre-diabetic condition. I know she will appreciate her help.
Lizann-I hope the social worker will be able to help you. Such a hard thing to go through. Thinking of you.
paulywogg-did Lou's dad have the MRI? Does he have to have surgery? I don't envy you working with nasty, bitchy women. Been there and done that...WAYYYYY too many times. I would much rather work with men. I laugh when I see job postings and they all say they are looking for a "team player." Oh, I'm a fantastic team player...on my own team, a wonderful Team of 1!!! Hahahahah!!!!
Glassie-You hoo!!! Come out, come out wherever you are!!
Hi to dill, Mr Vervill, techie, and anyone I missed...hope you are all having a peaceful morning, afternoon or late evening. :-) I'm off to bed. Back tomorrow!!

Hi Friends. Rusty, you sound so excited about the new client. I'm happy for you. I'm sure it'll be nice to enjoy the weekend at home. bird, yes I do believe prediabetes can be reversed. I image she would be upset. Would this explain any of her symptoms? Wow, sounds like the house is going to be a huge job. We cleaned out my inlaws house after they passed and it took quite a bit of time and effort. NoraC, feeling any better today?
Nice out today. Took Logan outside for a bit. He loved the breeze and was so happy outside. He did not venture off the blanket, wasn't too sure about the grass especially on his feet.
Glassie, Pauly, hope you're doing ok.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hello everyone. I laughed about Logan not sure about the grass. I remember my great niece couldn't stand to have her feet dirty. We'd go to the playground and she wouldn't walk on the sand. LOL
I'm glad that you got a new client, Rusty. Fantastic. I was thinking of you again today. In the middle of the madness at my job. LOL
Pauly, are you off tomorrow? I'm going to have a long day tomorrow. 3 other people in the office besides my boss. They are all on vacation tomorrow. I'm a little ticked off but I'm going to think happy thoughts. Ha, ha. Are you babysitting tomorrow? How did the MRI turn out?
Bird - have you decided anything yet? When are the girls out of school?
Glassie - I miss you. I wish they would give you time off work so you could finish your thesis. Because you are missed!
NoSugar - what kind of food do you eat? I know you don't eat sugar but I forget what else. I have heard about the Whole 30 diet as a starting point.
Well - guess it's almost bedtime for me. We have been watching Tomorrowland and it's almost over. We've never seen it.
Have a Happy Friday everyone!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi all,
Well, I drank beer last night, so I am back to day 1. I know I got too tired and aggravated and didn't take time for myself. Dealing with that house is really something.....good news is I have found a place for sale with almost all the stuff on my list that I want. It has been on the market a very long time, so I assume there is something wrong with it. I am going to go see it next week probably. I also will look at a couple places close to where the kids go to school. Kinda wonder if I would want to live there after they move on though. I'll have to make a pro/con list......I am thinking I will put my friends house up for auction. It is in bad shape. I think I will need a hazmat suit to spend any time in there. I got the tv and computer out yesterday. It really triggered my asthma. Everything is covered in nicotine and cat hair and dirt. I sold the tv to my landlord......so anyway....Nora, how was Tomorrowland?......Rusty, glad you got a new client.......Lizann, Logan sounds so cute....later all....b

Liz,adorable little Logan,I love their"firsts",had just Romeo for a bit yesterday so the kids could take Lou to the Adventuredome, love my Snapchat cuz I get to see videos and pics while he was there, looked fun! We tried to make this easy bagel recipe but Romeo was NOT having it so I hurried and put them in the oven and they came out like big, holeless blobs! I'll try it again sometime haha,Nora, how's mom doing? Have you been to your doc yet? Kells boyfriend has to get a second MRI with dye?he's got to see a lot of specialists so its gonna be a long process and tbh I think he's worried cuz he's been a damn grouch lately, meh,Bird, what's up for today? Glassy, hope you can check in soon, much love to all and wishes for a fantastico,AF Friday!!!I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

X-post Bird, hope you can figure out the house situation and decide if you wanna stay there or not, that has been one of my discontents in life,,,just not knowing where I want to live, never thought I'd end up in Vegas, didn't want to raise my kids here but did,now it would be hard to go somewhere else, sigh hope your day is goodI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:
