Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
I saw this image tonight and I really liked it. Made me think. I think we need to learn to hold on to the handrails when we need to. Some of us have a tendency to let go of the handrails: the support, the tools, the things that can help us. I know that I definitely pull away and get quiet instead of reaching out. I'm going to try to remember to hold the handrails.
Glassie - I hope that you have had some wonderful sleep. You poor thing. I'm glad that you had a good time though.
Pauly - sounds like you've been having fun with Louie. I can not wait! I was laughing and you and Liz though. Being jealous. Yep, that's going to be me. I expect that baby to be here with me not at the Grandpa's house. LOL
Liz - that was so cute about the baby wearing the headphones at church. Glad you had a good time. I can't believe that CJ & Joe hasve 5 dogs! That's a lot of work!
Rusty - are you spending the day over at your sister's tomorrow? I hope you have a great time. Are you back on the road next week?
We are not doing anything tomorrow. Won't even see the kids. Our DIL is working and she worked today so she will be exhausted. We had a caretaker come over and hubby & I went out for 3 hours. We are still trying to get him an eye exam. Tried to get a walk in appointment today but no luck. But, we went out to breakfast and ran a few errands. It was nice.
Oh - some cars were broken into on my street last night. 3 cars that I have heard about so far. That makes me very upset. We've always had a nice neighborhood but there has been more and more of this going on. But, all over around here & the surrounding cities. Very upsetting. I live next to a retired policeman so I know that he will be on alert.
Happy Easter to all that celebrate.Last edited by NoraC; April 1, 2018, 12:17 AM."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Hi all,
Happy Easter. I will probably go out to the park today, or some park. I get tired of going to the same one, but there just aren't any others nearby.. Sent the kids some $ for Easter...cat threw up on me a minute ago....finished watching that show last night with the homesteading lady. That is what I want, about 3 acres and a small house. Which I had that once but sold it. This time I will do better......Lizann, pcos is polycystic ovary syndrome....glad you got some park time in with Logan........Pauly, sorry your rolls looked like chicken, but that is a little funny too.......Glassie, well chocolate instead of coffee, that is good huh?....Nora, we love you!.....well, I am heading out!...b

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
So I get email from USPS that tells me what I am getting in the mail. Got an email this a.m. that says my package is out for delivery! What...isn't it Sunday and isn't it Easter? I double check, yeah it sure is. But then here comes the mail with my package! It wasn't next day air or anything. I don't get it. Was not the regular mail lady...:eek-new:

Happy Easter.
Bird - yuck about the cat puking on you. LOL I hope you have fun at the park. We aren't doing anything today.
Pauly - did Louie have fun looking for eggs? Next year, Romeo will be helping.
Glassie - did you get any sleep? You poor thing. I swear we need to find a rememdy for all the sleeping problems from you & Pauly & Crusader.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.
Molly is not walking. She wouldn't get up to go get breakfast. I sat next to her and she didn't even attempt to get out of her bed in my lap. We are really worried about her. She's 11 years old."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2018
Hi Nora - nope - no sleep here (I've been awake since 12:14). Never mind, I'm sure I'll crash eventually. I forgot to tell you - apart from the chocolate coffee, and the mushrooms, I made a frittata and the kids found a teaspoon in it! But I managed to feed everyone. And I only have about 12 hours work to do today - I'm SO glad it's a holiday!Last edited by Glass Half Empty; April 1, 2018, 02:45 PM.There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes

Oh Nora, I hope Molly is ok. I know how I worry about my Lucy when she's not acting her usual self. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
I was so upset with Lucy today! After the ham was carved I threw the leftover fatty leftovers in a garage bag hubby had prepared. It was low enough for Lucy to stick her little nose into and she grabbed a huge piece of fatty burnt stuff . I was right there and tried to grab it from her but she wouldn't open her mouth. It was a large piece and I was afraid she would choke, I managed to get what wasn't already in her mouth away but she swallowed all that fatty stuff I just hope she doesn't get sick, other than that we had a wonderful day. It flew by! Logan didn't even look for his Easter basket cuz he had to nap and then go to his other grandparents, he's to little to know what's going on anyhow. I feel asleep on the couch I was so exhausted.
Nora, glad you're chatty today again. It's nice you had some time with hubby today. That's scary about the cars. I guess there's not much you can do about it. My dad used to have one of those club things on his steering wheel after his truck was stolen from in front of our house,
Pauly, I'm sorry about the rolls, I so get it. That's why I don't bake. It was a little funny though. Louie will appreciate all you do when his a little older. He's still so young.
Bird nice yiu sent the kids money for Easter, I still give my kids baskets too. Just chocolate and little things I know they like. They're still eating their Valentine's Day candy!
Rusty, how was your Easter? Probably spent it with your mom?
Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend. We are supposed to get snow tonight and I'm not happy! Hopefully it's the last storm for awhile. It's supposed to be dreary all week. I have so enjoyed the warm sunny weather this weekend.
Wishing yiu all a quiet restful night, especially you @glasshalfempty!
