Yep jax I could afford to go part time but i dont want to make a rash decision while i am not in my right,mind ��

Its that reason you need to Starty.. Satz is right, a doc will absolutely sign you off and maybe a few weeks off will set you up again. But it will give you space to think :hug:

I was off for 5 months. I told the nurse in work initially what was up. Always pains here & there - (that disappeared overnight when I left).
She advised me to go to my doctor & just tell him.
I did and told him I needed time out to think straight and then renewed the certificate each week.
Doctors are very understanding these days and know how stress can affect mental & physical health.
And even if they aren't - YOU TELL the the doctor you want to be signed off for a while - to think and because the job is literally making you sick.
Companies are also aware of and scared of staff having stress related illness - because they are causing it or at least not helping prevent it.
There were 2/3 people out with it each week where I was.

I am seeing him this week for my results. Not sure I have the guts to ask to be signed off but will see what he says. What sort of job did you have? Did you get a good redundancy?

Good morning everyone. Well said Starty. You have a lot going on but you will get through it. Crazy week for me so might be mia some of the time. Flying to Uk tomorrow for a funeral. Will check in if I get a chance.

I worked in Human Resources / Payroll & Employee Benefits in a large multinational.
- but the job I have now in the nursing home as receptionist / Admin is shite pay but more fulfilling.

I wonder is that the key? My job is stress free - most of the time -- there's enough going on in 'real life' so that work is my safe place - but like you say Benjy - my money isn't great either - but it's plenty - and now that I have my self-pride restored in sobriety - I don't need to prove myself through a job... very content I am!!

- went for a little wander there.
there are great posts over in NN - I tend to 'forget' a lot of the things we've learned over the years.
Great to reconnect with why we are actually here.

I think the Army now is a 'maintenance' thread - but reading over in NN helps realise how far we've come.

Crusader love that link it is absolutely me i am a total introvert

I spent a number of years alone much of the time, and I highly recommend it for being true to who you are. I'm glad you liked it. I may post some other videos I like here or in the nest at a later time. These aren't about being alone, but about our inner feelings and how to process them. Good stuff.
