Haven't had a bathing/swimming costume for years....... had to get one for aqua-aerobics. Do you think I'll need a swimming cap?

Evening -- dinner done - feet up - mmm what a lovely feeling of a Sunday evening - nowt to do till tomorrow.. and I've only a 2 and a half day week next week - was owed a few days hols which I have to take so happy days - with the bank holiday I'll be nearly off a week - going to be a lazy mare so I am --

Went for understated and wouldn't have got navy in a squillion years as it would remind me of school swimming lessons.:cuss:

Wont lie, it was, but it didn't wipe me. I have my finger hoovering over the website for the Dublin Marathon. Sure Im half way there at this stage, its an itch that needs to be scratched

Oh do it Mary. What an achievement ! I am so bummed that I can no longer run any more. I think I really have grieved that loss. It feels like another notch in the ageing coffin. I am struggling to find another exercise I will enjoy.

Good on you for starting swimming Jax. I quite enjoy swimming but dont like getting my hair wet as it is so long and takes ages to style it would be such a palaver each time I went.

Back at work today. Mixed emotions. Want to see what has gone on the past week but the thought of the slog is not appealing.

Was going through some old posts as Startingover yesterday. I miss her She seemed much more confident and full of life than me. Wonder what happened

Spose it's what happened to us all - but don't forget the slings and arrows! Startingover didn't have an extraordinarily stressful job - seems to me that could be knocking a lot of stuffing out of you?

Morning Mollymoo and Starterooo,
Wish I had the answers but wondering if a bit of counselling might help? The job's obviously a big stress factor so perhaps signing up with an employment agency. Write down a wish list.........from the ridiculous to the doable. And get another holiday booked so there's something to look forward to.........just a few thoughts.

Off on the search for a swimming cap........had a squizz on-line, but could only find speedo ones. I'm not swimming the blooming channel.....just splashing about in the local pool.

can't imagine you need one - your head doesn't go under the water nor nothing - anyway - must places sell them on site..
Now must go work - busy busy today - new rota tomorrow so must leave the jnr library PRISTINE -- ain't gonna have no one giving out about my work rate ;-) laters gaters xx

Aww Starts :hug: It sounds like the job is sucking the life out of you. I hate to say it. You sound like me as I headed towards the life change I made 2 years ago.
I felt I was set free.
Think about leaving that job - not the money or any of that - just not having to go there every day - how does that feel. Joyous?
Hold that feeling & don't get sucked into what will I do ? etc etc.

However if the thought makes you unhappy - then it's something else you need to look at.

I think you need a hat for hygiene purposes ? and I think they make you wear pool shoes too .
oh & bring flip flops for shower area ...... swimming pools are awash with fungi. ( not fun guys) :haha:


you'll need this to be taken as a serious athlete Jacks. It's all about perception :listening_headphone:

Laughed like a drain when I saw the tag on the swimming costume.............its active wear. I've spent my live avoiding activity. :hahaha:

I'll be shovelling it all in a carrier bag.......will have to Waitrose as the pool's in the poshest part of Newcastle.

Evening folks - I treated myself to Ted Baker shopping bags a few weeks back in Kildare outlet - used to have a cream coloured one - this is patent black with an ivory bow on it - and a mini bag for inside - it's the same just little - and that's for keys make up money etc... saves all that dragging things around in supervalu bags -- love them!!

dead tired - had a bit of family good news today - and as I haven't spoken of the bad news I cannot tell the good... haha -- but PTL this may be the beginning of a turn around in luck!
