Very late check in--Got all the family here. Did a run with running daughter early this morning and then food and walks with all of them and then more food. We went to see Peter Rabbit at 5.30 little ones loved it.
Good news is Mr A is out of pain but still got more kidney stones--Hoping to get sorted on Thursday.

Had the son and heir over for lunch...his GF went over to her Ma & Pa's as we had curry and she doesn't like curries....beef madras, chicken dhansak.........home made by Mr JC. Even made his own onion bhajis. Full to the gills.

I didn't even get farty kit-kat egg just a fecking wasp up me pyjama sleeve. Only the second time and hopefully the last I've been stung.

Going to watch Homeland then off to bed........after checking a squillion times there are no wasps about.

I'm in the bed - so full it's ridiculous!!!! Lovely day tho! Hopefully a quiet one tomorrow - watching the wee one for a couple of hours but that's all - looking forward to total laziness

Darling daughter arrived with easter eggs + flowers ..... but sans my mother who decided she didn't want to come eat the dinner I'd made for her.
Cruel I know but I got really pissed off.
She has everyone fussing over her yesterday too .... but today decided she was too tired to get in the car and be driven to have her dinner handed up to her.

Rant over !!!

Now I'm checking the bed for wasps or other wildlife :haha:

Good morning Army and happy April to all!! Looks like everyone had a lovely Easter - we celebrate next Sunday here in Greece!

I'm another one guilty of being MIA - my usual excuse of a lot going on in Stirly-World. The latest being that I have left Mr. S after nearly 43 years of marriage - anniversary would have been 20th of April. I had been looking for an apartment for a long time now and finally found what I wanted and moved in yesterday. Found it on the 13th of Feb. and on the 1st of March, younger son's wife informed him that she wants a divorce so I'm going to have a room-mate and more for a while. He will have their boys (7-1/2 and 16 months) 2 nights a week and every other weekend. So, it looks like my peace and quiet will be postponed for a while. Not that I mind - son is very down psychologically, so of course I told him he can stay with me as long as he needs to adjust. It's just not what I was expecting but we can adapt to any situation if we are willing. Just lucky that it's a roomy, two-bedroom apartment so lots of space for the kids as well. :nutso:

KTAB - absolutely delighted about your new job and how great that another company wanted to hire you as well. There you go - proof that no matter what age we are, we are still a valuable asset to the working world.

Mrs. A - glad to hear Mr. A is recovering - hope all goes well. Your stamina amazes me even tho' it's not what it was a few years ago. The natural process, I'd say.

Jackie - hugs to Bess! She's the Army mascot, methinks. Glad to hear Jenny is doing well!

Molly and Mary - sounds like you had quite the busy day feeding everyone - give yourselves a rest today!

Rusters - hope your daughter is coming along well.

Mr. G - such a joy to see your continues sobriety - great job!

Satzy - I musta looked like that when I was young and not much has changed. Have a good bit of dark chocolate with my morning tea - am currently drinking the second cup and eating my second lot of choccie for the day.

Good morning Easter egg people! Did not get even one yesterday. Family all here in 45 minutes for food. Then off to the airport with number 2 daughter.
Oh Stirly how brave and gutsy to move out after all those years. Hope you have a great future! I am sure you will X
