Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Hope everyone had a fantastic day.
Liz - they did look so much in love. And that's a good question - why don't our husbands look at us like that? LOL Did Mark get any new info today?
Rusty - did you get your work done & get to enjoy the birthday dinner? How is your Mom doing?
J&C had some pictures taken yesterday (pregnancy). He sent me one pic already & it's so cute. I'm glad that they did this.
They had come & picked up some stuff that we were storing which helped. Hubby cleaned up the totes on the patio & moved all my totes around in the garage. It looks so much better. Now, I feel like I can get some organization going and get the rest of this taken care of. At least, it will be clean for the baby shower. And, it looks like the sunflowers that we planted will be blooming then too."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Back to work on that house........Lizann, hope your trip is a good one.!.....Pauly, I had cut way back on my sugar before the trip. I could really tell the difference getting back on it while on vacation....Nora, glad they took some preg pics. Bet you are excited! Good about the sunflowers.....Rusty, sorry about all your stuff going on. Once dd2 broke her elbow, and they did not even xray in er...said it was bruise...took her to doc next day and it was broken.....b

Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Can't believe it's already 6:30. The days just fly by sometimes.
Bird - welcome home. Glad you visited Colorado so you would know for sure that's not where you want to move.
I had written something earlier and didn't realize it didn't post. Can't remember but it wasn't anything important anyway.
Pauly - Sending good thoughts for you for this weekend. I know it's got to be 'uncomfortable' but it'll be ok. As long as we're sober, we can deal with the hard/sad stuff. Who all is going?
Mr V - I have been meaning to find you. I will have to hunt you down to say hello.
Rusty - :heartbeat:
Hope everyone has a wonderful hump day!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Rusty, glad your feeling better!
Pauly, I can imagine this will not be an easy weekend for you. I'll be thinking about you. Stay strong, like we know you are.
Nora, how cute they had pregnancy pictures taken. That's the thing to do these days. Erin and Dan didn't. Erin had an app on her phone and every week would take a photo in the same spot, so we could all see her tummy and baby grow! So exciting.
Bird, I sure your thrilled to be home. I've never been to Colorado, but have heard it's expensive too.
Glassie, how's things on your side of the world?
So much to do before we leave on Sunday. Working an extra day this week, actually it's an evening, which is good. I am planning to get a lot done here before I go in. I'm trying not to get overwhelmed but panic is starting to set in a bit, we are bringing so much stuff with us!
Well, think I'll head to the blankie fort and forget about everything for tonight! Hope you all enjoyed your Tuesday!

Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Good Afternoon, Friends!
Ahhh.....I've enjoyed the first day of seven that I will be at home! There's no place like home...there's no place like home. Hahahah! I've gotten some business work done and spent a long time on the phone, chatting with a close friend. Off to work out in a little bit.
Pauly:hug:I hope the weekend goes well for you and I hope your Mom doesn't bug you about not drinking. I will be thinking of you, friend.
bird-WOW! I appreciate your telling me the story about dd2Once dd2 broke her elbow, and they did not even xray in er...said it was bruise...took her to doc next day and it was broken
Nora, thank you for posting another wonderful quote that is so powerful and so true!
Liz-did I miss something??? Are you going to visit CJ and Joe? How long will you be gone?
Glassie-how was your belated Mother's Day celebration?
I hope everyone is having a lovely AF Hump Day!

Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Hi all. Rusty - glad to hear you're working from home. Not much going on here. Just lots of little things - know what I mean? Keeps you hopping sometimes. I'm hoping to get in to get my hair done tomorrow. Those white roots now look like the whole top of my head is white. LOL
My nephew was all set to retire from the Air Force in 6 months. Just got some big promotion. Master Sargent? Has to decide if he'll stay in. Which would mean another 2 years which would turn into 4 which would turn into 10. He has spent enough time away from his family. I guess you can tell what I think he should do. Life is short. I guess that put me in a melancholy mood. Actually, I already was - was sending hubby an e-mail from work and suddenly flashed on how I had to check in with my Dad each morning. He expected to hear from me first thing each morning that I was safe & sound at work. I miss him. Ok - need to work on shower plans. Running out of time!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - May 2018
Rusty, glad you've got an extended time at home. You're not working the holiday weekend are you? Yes. Hubby and I are going to visit CJ and Joe for a week. We leave Sunday. It's not so easy just picking up and leaving anymore with the baby, but we decided we need to be there for both our girls not just one. It's nice to be needed and wanted :welldone: Mark will watch Logan for one of the days we are gone, that's going to be a first for him. Logan just loves his uncle mark!
Nora, how sweet you'd have to check I. With your dad. When is the shower? Do your think the Air Force gave your nephew the promotion just so he would stay in? Maybe he is afraid of what kind of a job he would get if he reined from the military. Here at least he has some direction and is moving up. I'm sorry your melancholy about it, though:hug: My nephew just graduated ROTC at Villanova and was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the Marine Corp. don't think he'll be back home much either. I get it.
After work went to church to start setting up for our semiannual garage/rummage sale. Sissy was there and we talked a lot. Her daughter is causing sissy much hurt and sadness. It's hard to watch this situation with no resolution insight. I lent sissy my shoulder, but I just want her to find some happiness. Dad had a very bad night again last night. Sigh. That in a nutshell, was my day..
Bird, glassie, Pauly waves and hope you had a good Wednesday
