I was having a look at the FB page. The opening hours have been reduced, two of the baristas have left leaving only two, the manager of the coffee bar left just after Christmas not to be replaced, volunteers have left. Could be lack of funding, could be that the overall manager is a pain in the backside....not just my opinion its shared by many.....hairs on the back of my neck are prickling.

Evening all. Hope it works out ok for you JC. Busy day at work so feet up for the evening. Very sad news today, young girl was abducted on Saturday not far from here and her body was found today. Her poor poor parents. Some crazy people out there!

Bastard. Just dumped her body like a bag of rubbish ................
The residents said her smile lit up the street when she walked through the little village.

Same over this side with the 14 year old girl - her snuffed out.......beaten to death with a brick ....... for no reason. A 13 year old being questioned.
String them all up I say.

Been working all weekend. Knackered. [MENTION=22411]IamMary[/MENTION] glad The 'Holy Union' ( my sister used to call it ) went so well.
Drunkards are a pain in the arse. I love the ' holier than thou' feeling you get when they keep talking shite. I never tire of that feeling that I am being 100% myself ....

Mother moved to a lovely Care Facility for some respite and to allow them organised 'at home' care for her.

Weird not to see an early morning post from, Starty. I'm missing our Molls as well.

When my cousin and I went to give it the once over they left the fecking chip pan on the stove. One service didn't know what the other service did. It was a nightmare to start and it wasn't until my brother went ape-shit that they bucked their ideas up.

Well Jacks - the Social Worker tried to tell me "she's quite independent." I'd been warned this would happen as they try to send her home.
I said :

"whoa ....... back up there Missus. That is old data you have there. Things have moved on.
The lady is 88 - has Dementia - lives alone - forgets to eat & drink. Has falls - is incontinent at night as she gets up every 15 minutes to use the bathroom.
Even with family help she ended up in A&E dehydrated and shaking with delirium from a severe chest infection.
Please don't try to save money by fobbing me off with 'independent' : she needs HOME HELP. She's worked all her life up to last year ( Charity work) and she is ENTITLED to help now."

All said quite pleasantly but firmly ............

We are getting 3 visits a day - when they get their act together :thumbsup:

..........its a good system.........my ma had to be kept in hospital 'til they sorted out her house.

This is part of the hospital - when old folk are no longer critical - but can't be sent home yet - a kind of half-way house .
I'd say it's a private nursing home paid for by the HSE - 'cos the attention we got was amazing.
She has her own room en suite with wet room / TV / a 'quiet' room for reading / a little garden across the hall / a sitting room and a dining room for lunch & dinner.

Hi guys, sorry I missed the early morning bugle, I went out at 4.30 and didnt come back Also got a horrible work sitch going on with a potential disciplinary with one of my team. Horrible and I hate this. It makes me feel awful.

I am so happy your mum is getting the care she needs. It is a huge worry when our parents fall apart

Well interesting day for me. Put an application in for a couple of mornings at the Barnado's charity shop and got an interview and induction on Thursday or Friday. I'll ring tomorrow to confirm as I was a little taken aback at the quick reply. So I rang one of the trustees where I am now to say I will probably be leaving........haven't been in for a few weeks because of back. Well knock me down with a feather...........the pain in the arse boss has been given the push.........I meeting the trustee next week to give them my input on how they'll move forward. Now I'm torn.

Bestest news of the day...........the S&H's got a job with Samsung.........three months trial to start.

Great to check in and read good news. Delighted for you JC and glad you are getting your Mom sorted Satz. Have you ever tried meditation Starty? Found it good when stressed but don’t practice it enough. My daughter started exams today and got first one so onward and upwards.
