:stompy2:.......I wanna go on the Circle Tour .....looks incredible.....especially if its a work jolly. Starty, love, concentrate on things you can do and not what you think you're missing.

Jenny's new BF is very Icelandic looking about 6'4" and a sort of ginger/blond and very fair skinned. Mind you , he could be a left over Viking from when they ruled the North.

satz123.......let's know how you Ma got settled in.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning all!

Ha yes, I can see them doing that thunder clap on the coach or the plane !! The Golden Circle does look impressive I must say.

Yep Statz work jolly, team building, health motivator thingy. We do a big trip every two years, this one is special as it is the co's 35th anniversary. We also raise a lot of money for local charity.

Mary, yes they are pretty boozy. Majority very young in their 20s so like to go out clubbing (dear lord :haha the boss then sits at breakfast with his head in his hands watching folk come in from the night before

This is one of the reasons I get so torn about the co. They do treat us very well.

Satzy what a relief about your mum. I do hope it all goes well.

Last day today before along weekend off. I want to get my stuff together for the trip and have clothes and stuff to buy. The temps in Iceland are much lower than here and I do not want to be wandering round in me workout kit freezing me arse off

Mary I would rather be a dry arse than a wet arse :egad:

Morning,
I broke the toilet......it was only a matter of time. Luckily we can still flush it after a fashion and even more luckily the plumber's coming at 12:30pm.
Mr JC is as excited as a toddler on his first visit to Lego land about this trip to Ireland. He's now deciding where to get his Euros from.........the rate's crap everywhere but these things need exploring.
I've got a wee trip to the doctors for a review on my first month the anti-depressants. Seem to be doing their job pretty well but still getting some high anxiety. Going to ask him WTF this grumbly tummy is.....its been seven days now.

starty...........it'll be light more or less 24 hours when you're in Iceland. Mebbees one of the cabin crew will start the cheer.

Keffalonia in Greece Mers. It's not HIM I'm worried about it's me feckin' house. HE can do what he likes to himself. He's getting the vibes of that and has settled a bit & is now working free-lance 3 days a week for Pharma company. New laptop and camera - so they must trust him. I hope he earns that trust.......

I agree Mers. If we have to socialise - you will get those reactions. In the beginning I had to 'fake it to make it' . I had to pretend to be having a ball - so that they'd not think I needed a drink to be the life & soul. Now I don't care and usually enjoy it up to a point. At that point I'll head home.
On holiday that's what I do - have the craic at the meal & after for a while - but then the stupidity starts and I casually say "I'm off" - they've become used to it. Even envious to some degree. I see the pride in MrS's face when I'm up & at 'em at 8 next morning & dragging him for a walk. It's SOOO worth it.

satz123...........you are sounding good, missus. There's a confidence about you more than likely because you know you're doing the right thing. I loved what you said about Mr S being proud.......worth more than a bottle of voddy any day.

Bog mended, my pills & potions sorted, custard doughnuts bought and himself just about to go outta the door. Let the party begin..........:sohappy:

Hope it went well at the docs JC? Hope it doesn't affect yer trip to Ireland. Anxiety can be crippling so hope the AD's do their trick  Would the AD's affect the tummy? Delayed reaction? I dunno about their side-effects, so speaking out me arse, perhaps (not unknown...)

As for breaking the toilet - reminds me of when I was 13 and was on a church trip to Brazil (yes! Brazil!) and we stayed at wee convent and on the last day I sat, not one the toilet, but the wash-hand basin and the whole thing tore off the wall! Condemned to hell i was...

RunningCourage.....its all good, seeing the end of this stomach bug at last. The GP had a poke of my tummy and didn't find anything sinister (I hate it when they use words like that). He's one of these GPs who always runs late as he never sticks to the 10 minute per patient rule. He's lovely. Back again in a month. AD's won't affect my tummy area.....he said so......although its in the list of side effects which is about a mile long. Does anyone read them all?

Only Mr. JC this time in Ireland with his mate next door. I'm dossing at home with Bess.....we've just had a lovely walk on the big field. Forgot how dog walkers just naturally talk to each other ...........I now know where to get free rhubarb. Perhaps tomorrow we'll meet someone who knows where the free custard is.
