wouldn't it be the perfect pastime for him - and doing good at the same time - I'd say he'll be back on the bike in about 6 weeks and normality can resume!!

dunno how I missed it till now - quite impressed - did you watch Pompeii? think that'll be next if it's any good - ANYTHING is better than football or snooker - the book I'm reading is boring so paying a bit more attention to the tele now!

Nope missed that. Is it on Netflix? On a series break from Vikings.........have to say the last episode before the break was a bit too meaningful and mystic and in some places bizarre.

Oh I got lost in Vikings - loved the Last Kingdom - much easier on the eye - yeah just saw the ad on Netflix for pompeii

Called up to bring mother to doc - she looked terrible, pallor was gray and her whole body had tremours.
Doctor suggested call an ambulance to get to hospital.
After initial assessment she was sitting in public area on a hard chair for 7 hours before a doctor saw her there at 9pm. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.....
They are keeping her in ...... but have no bed FFS !!!!
She is 88........ drug addicts & scumbags were seen before her because they kicked up a fuss.

Did 2 presentations in front of 12 people today no way would i have been able to do that if I wasn’t clean and sober. Still felt like cacking meself tho :haha:

Glad you didnt cack [MENTION=22456]starty[/MENTION]! I HATE big presentations too. Funny, we were chatting the other day, how kids in the US are really encouraged to stand up in front of the class and present/talk.. not so much here, and it shows (well example me!). Its all about confidence I suppose.

Your poor mam [MENTION=9094]satz123[/MENTION]. Shes obviously on the other side of that big heavy door now.. Its shocking. I didn't appreciate everyone moaning on Joe duffy until both parents had to reason to be there. She might get a bed early in the morning.

With all of this talk about job change lately, I just had to throw in my 2 cents. Two years ago, I had a really "good" job with decent pay and benefits, but HATED being there from beginning to end! It was fast paced and very stressful, with lots of criticism thrown in to boot. I used to waste entire weekends literally sick about having to go to the "house of evil" every Monday morning. My health began to suffer, and my drinking really escalated to a new unprecedented level. I finally said, "enough is enough" and started a career doing something entirely different than I've ever done, and have never looked back. There are days when I pinch myself, and say "I can't believe that I get paid to do this! So, glad that I took that risk.

Totally about confidence and that fear of blanking, saying the wrong words or just simply forgetting what you want to say and even worse being asked a question you cannot answer :haha: Both co owners were there and said we all did well and how it was good to be pushed out of our comfort zones. As I live outside my comfort zone I didnt really appreciate that much :haha:

Good morning everyone. Hope your poor Mom is ok Satz, this country is a disgrace. Well done on the new job Tabs. Thanks for those tips on Netflix shows ladies, must put on my list. It’s great to be clear headed Starty isn’t it, well done on presentation. I chauffeured a horse to Connemara the other day, one that was not used to traveling I might add! Great sense of achievement when you get these things done. Busy day ahead so better get a move on.

Morning Rustop! Wow do you work with horses? I used to spend all my time around horses. Magnificent animals but can be challenging when they are scared!
