That reminds me ....... I got a 20 minute lecture from a nurse yesterday, she Indian, on how all our ails are caused by not being in touch with God / Jesus
Andrew is battling his disease because I don't pray ............. I knew she was religious but ...........
I should have told her to f*ck off but for some reason stood there as she lectured me.
With that attitude she should not be nursing ........ she REALLY believes we get sick due to our sins ......... not praying.
The residents are there due to alcohol & cigarettes - that's probably true - but OMG !!
I think she may be quite mad actually !!

The pic of that child is horrific. We have a girl at work who's daughter does dance and she dresses up in very suggestive clothes for a 6 year old. With eye make up and the like. I think it looks awful but hey ho what do I know.

So sorry about the tum Molls, its awful feeling sick but like the other say, flat coke and no food until it feels appealing

Good evening folks - there's an Irish Dancing culture here - they put their kids in for competitions and honest to god the state of the poor kids - it is cruel and ultra-competitive for young children - a friend of mine was actually damaged as a child being pushed in those competitions - the get-up and the hair-do's - appalling - the good thing Riverdance did was that it freed up Irish dancing - the rigidity and all that shit seemed to be left behind PTL!!!

Came home from work at lunchtime - couldn't even go up and down stairs - so sat and watched day time tele - bit of a treat achully!

Hi molls, glad you took some time. I am useless at that and suffer a guilt complex and HATE calling in sick. I always feel a fraud saying Im not coming in even though I never skive off

There was no question of me staying in work - was dizzy and disorientated - and ironically - me being the one who NEVER uses the lift at work - could have done with it today and it was out of order - so no - not a chance I'd have managed another 6 hours!! Joey is sick now -- ffs -- this is endless - Joe started the ball rolling about 3 weeks ago - and I reckon it's been so long that he'll probably get it again -- it's like a hospital here..

Not moaning any more tho - ate a bowl of porridge an hour ago (first thing I've eaten in almost 4 days) and it's stayed down and I feel stronger - so off to bed shortly and I'll be amazing tomorrow!!! How's the new boss?

Evening troops

Hope you feel better quick Molls. When I was out for the count with suspected food poisoning last weekend I could hardly stomach anything. Like Doc Satz says - yer body tells you what and when it needs food stuff.

I have a lot of time for folks who are religious and have faith etc... but bugger all time for preaching to anyone as if we're all damned because we don't follow one narrow view on religion. Satz, minds me of a girl i was a student with who, tho 'friends' with those who were gay in our class also believed they were damned to hell - literally - because they were gay... indeed we all were because we had all slept with someone before marriage. Of course she hadn't.

Alas, like many fundamentalist christians who abstain from sex before marriage, she married and promptly went on to create a baby farm...

Busy week ahead - doing a presentation at Uni on Wednesday night on my Masters... and heading straight from there to the am dram group - directing their next show - were emailing tonight asking, what are we doing?, and I'm like ... uhh... dunno... will think about it on the way there. Meanwhile got a new timetable at the school i'm now FT at... so now have to prep half a week (whereas before it was stuff I'd done or did not need to prep for... BUT, much rather have the extra work and be in this school than to have continued at the other school.) (Counting my blessings, see?!)

Yes [MENTION=22456]starty[/MENTION], some people go nuts and its a mini wedding or a full sized wedding! Just family here, home made food, hand-me-down dress but we do have a bouncy castle :happy2: (and we make great food!).
Got booze in the shopping last night- feel in control though as its here, but always a niggle (could I have a fuck it moment..).

Poor you Molly, you must be exhausted.

Morning all,

Your communion sounds like it will be lovely Mary. I get the niggle with booze. When I am all happy (which has started happening lately ) I suddenly can get a "how can I increase this" niggle and immediately my thoughts bounce to booze/pills. I have to immediately run the film to where it will inevitably lead. Luckily that stops me in my tracks and I fast forward to my genuine happy moments and realise that cannot be altered with chemicals or a) it will not be real and b) I will end up back to square one and suicidally miserable once again. My mind is too fragile to mess with and have to remember that.

Molls, new boss has been focussing on another area just now but seems nice and positive (for a baby. He is 29 :egad So will see what he brings to the table.

RC sounds like your life has taken a turn for the better. I am delighted for you.

Off for an early morning dog walk around the country park. Lovely

Morning folks - lovely sunny day but the house is in shite with two invalids for the last few days - just get scrubbing before work jeeezzzzzz i need that little retirement house in Kerry right NOW!!!!
Oh Mary couldn't agree more on hating that attire but like rusty says what in God's name could a mother know????? Even at my stage with grown up sprogs i bite my tongue daily!!!
