Morning all
I want to thank each & every one of you for your advice & gentle support. Including visitors Ava, NS, Pauly, Nora, Cowboy, Mr G and others........

Mother update :
She's back in hospital since last night. Ringing ambulance is getting to be an exciting trip.
I'm happier she's in there and we are preparing the forms etc for residential care. She's not there yet but the application lasts 6 months. She has lung fibrosis which is progressive and terminal & the type of dementia she has can takes huge dips - so need to be prepared for when she needs 24/7 nursing.
We will get her a place in the nursing home where I work - so I'll be there a lot & they'll take care of her :thumbsup:

Young Satz update:
I told him to drink himself into oblivion if he wants while I'm away - I don'r care - just don't wreck the house - that's how I feel about it

Meanwhile I have a plane to catch to Greece :llama:

I echo that, have a ball. Bit of a storm here last night. Some trees and branches down. Bit of a shock to the system after all the sun. Managed to get a walk in this morning and had some neighbors over for coffee. Need to get packing done as flying tomorrow so better make a move.

Weather blustery here too and not overly warm. However it is friday tomorrow so that is always a good thing in my book

Tomorrow i friday. thank feck. All jaded and banjaxed on the work front. Looking forward to expending energy on not teaching and something else - even if it is writing my Masters dissertation (the summer's main task/priority). 2 weeks to go...

Is anyone staying home?? I neeeeeeeeeeeed a holiday even if its in a tent up a hill and pot noodles and marmite sandwiches for dinner.

It was windy on a huge scale.........Hurricane Hector.............who names these things?

Tomorrow is cake making day for the S&H's birthday party.........40plus fairy cakes (they will not be cup-cakes as I'm too old-fashioned).

I am a fairy cake person too.. plus they are a better size, you dont feel like youve just eaten half a wedding cake. Well thats more muffins I suppose.

Yep delighted its friday here too. Has been a hellava week with stress and business. Had a meeting with my boss yesterday and he kind of hinted about a restructure and me going for a higher job :egad: Will see how that pans out.

Getting ready for the Iceland jolly. I am now apparently team leader for the 5k distance. I have to make sure everyone finishes, no one has any issues and all get back OK. Who is gonna look after me ?!?

Cake baking will start shortly.......I'll be making some GF, lactose-free, nut free, egg free depending on which allergy the S&H's girlfriend has this week.....believe me I have every symapthy with people who have allergies but honestly she reads an article one day and decides that food is causing her excessive wind (I'm so polite )..........my advice would be stop reading the articles.

I love that song. Molls, is a huge miss.

I burnt the red velvet cupcakes......anyone want one........fine if you scrape the burnt bits off......they're a tad dry as well, but they're free .....Chocolate brownies turned out okay.
Going to my standby lemon drizzle cake.
Wish he was 5 not 30 then I could through him in a bouncy castle and feed him and his mates loads of e-numbers and they'd leave all their crusts.
