Nora , how sweet Savannah is! Grandma looks great on you. You talk about that little princess as much as you want, but I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures either. Rusty, you made me laugh with the skinny legs! I have just been blessed with good genes and a great filter on the camera! How is your mom doing?
Lawyer is coming over in a bit so the house will be full again. I gotta tell you I don't mind having people here all the time. I am a bit fearful for next week when things start to settle down. I am a bit weepy this morning already. I have had thoughts. I need to stay sober and just feel these feelings. I'm sticking close to you guys.

Hello all
I'm on my phone so a short one. I'm not like pauly so good on the phone.
Glad that you are talking about the feelings. It's too easy to internalize until you finally break. Much better to talk about it.
It hurts sometimes but it's so much better to just live your life the good and the hard without alcohol.
Alcohol adds a whole other level to the pain we are already feeling.
So much better to go without. It does get so much easier."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Congratulations again, sweet Grandma Nora!:yay: 3 YEARS AF!! Wow!!
Pauly-I haven't decided whether I am going to become a subscriber or just make a nice donation. When do you leave to see your family?
Glassie-where are you going in Africa? You deserve a relaxing holiday!:heartbeat: How is little HRH?
bird-safe trip to Macon.
Liz-My mom is doing OK, but geez, her memory has gotten SO bad, my sister said she cannot take care of her finances anymore. Thanks for asking, love.
I promised myself I would practice good self-care this weekend.
Happy AF Friday, everyone!

I hope you are enjoying the same lovely weather I am in the midwest. I know we shouldn't gloat as others are frying or flooding but man, this is a relief!
Happy Weekend, Steppers! xx, NS

My brother was on his way to Oregon and his transmission went out on the grapevine.
They are ok and got towed the 100 miles back here."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett
