starty.........I've just seen the pictures on FB of your doggo. Poor boy. Once the anesthetic is out of his body and he gets a proper drug free snooze he'll be grand. Those cones are the intsruments of the devil. Bess and Sir Dylan the dog both had to wear one after big operations and they soon got used to them though. And of course we all had a go at wearing it...........like I said the work of the devil but absoutely hilarious when fixed on your 15 tear old son and he's trying to eat rice crispies.
Mr JC's at the doctors tomorrow for an ECG...so he's having chips and egg for tea.
Trouble is with the thank you cards we can't get moved in the shops at the moment for Thankyou Teacher stuff.........they must need removal truck to get their stuff home. I've yet to get a card from a teacher saying thankyou for letting them educate my children.
Question for teachers far and wide does getting a bar of toblerone or a chocolate orange really help?.
Molls, you could still have your dinner parties, just put the people you don't like near the wastewater pipe.
BTW I'm still in and out of a right snotty mood...........and at the moment snotty is winning.Last edited by JackieClaire; July 17, 2018, 03:30 PM.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Oh Molls. A few miles away - in a park on the border where we start our walk is a water treatment plant.
The SMELL is horrendous. It get in your nose and is hard to get rid of.
A cloying smell is the only way to describe it.
You'd have to wonder WHAT are people eating ? Or has something died inside them.....:sick:

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Morning all, dogger finally settled and had a reasonable night, woke up whimpering at 4.30 though so consequently all a bit jaded here. Back to the grind today
Mr S came home last night and said a colleague of his who is around our age has just been diagnosed with chronic leukaemia. Found on a routine blood test and no treatment offered unless he exhibits symptoms. Apparently it will cause his death. After first being shocked that he was simply sent away with that diagnosis, I then got to thinking how fragile life is.
Anyway a bit deep for first thing so will feck off to work :haha:

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Morning,
Haven't a clue why I'm up this early.
Not wanting to make light of it but perhaps we have a use by date stamped on our bottoms........just where we can't see in the mirror.
A wee story..........one of the secretaries at Mr JC's coal-face ..........brother-in-law was given three months to live after being diagnosed with aggressive leukemia so he married his long term GF in a huge do. Their children were bridesmaids and pageboys........she told me it was a day of laughter and tears...........he's still here six months after the diagnosis with his blood count going in the right direction. It could be worse, I could be filing.

I'm a teacher - so, education i suppose. In terms of Uni, officially it's probably Educational Studies with a focus on Philosophy with Children... but there is much crossover - we study childhood development at uni as part of studying to be a teacher - cognitive and moral development of children - so that's both psychology and Early childhood... and my personal interest is in philosophy with sprogs.
See what I did there? I never give up until I've got all the facts love. you should see the old bat in action in real life.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

It's a masters. My supervisor is keen I do the doctorate next, but i'm gonna take at least a year out from uni and focus on the classroom. Anyway, as it is I canny afford a doctorate!
