I'm lucky........I have a good family around me. I have a cousin who is married to a consultant bowel surgeon who has given me advice on how to treat this.
From what I can gather from my own research that this bug lives with us quite quietly 99.999% of the time so its hard to pinpoint when it becomes active.
Sorry, I'm a moany minnie. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Sounds like we could have been in the same hospital JackieClaire! I’ve got my letter to the Hospital Administration ready to drop off tomorrow, just some things that they really need to improve on no matter how many patients they have to deal with. I know we have one of the best health care systems in the world, and it’s a good thing cause I wouldn’t have paid a nickel for my 2.5 days stay there!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Hope all slept ok last night and feeling better today?
Nice to see you AB!
Have you still got symptoms Jax? I kinda thought once the infection was under control it was a matter of getting strength back but I am guessing that is not the whole story? Hope you are feeling brighter today x

Agreed. Hope all slept better, and JC that you're feeling a bit better today.
'Fraid i did not get a wink last night. Well I did for a couple of hours, but awoke about 1.30am and tossed and turned until about 4am... got about an hour's shut eye before just getting up. Got that weird spinny head-tired thing going on. Nae nice.
BUT... dissertation ALMOST there. So much so, I'm now looking at where I can get it bound. So that's good. Trying to think what I can do with some free days (beyond looking towards prepping for class... :egad: )
Back in a bit.

Morning all.
Big decisions to be made chez Satz re. mother.
HSE funding is there , Nursing Home ( where I work) is there , but I don't want to move her again.
I want to ask the doctor at the place she's in - (a temporary stop-gap between hospital & home) - if she can stay there long term as she is settled, popular with staff and has made a pal or two.
I hate moving her ...............
Starty how are you finding the CBD oil ?

Morning,
satz123..........I've been thinking about your Mum. Here's lovely Geordie phrase for you...............shy bairns get nowt. Its worth a try, love.
stirly-girly.......just saw the news about the fires in Athens, heartbreaking for you all.
starty.............yep the infection has gone. But I've lost so much weight I look like a deflated balloon, 80 years old and my taste buds are shot to Hell. Everything tastes odd. I'm living on a diet of Complan and air (and with the muggy weather its not even fresh air) . I'm off to get some kafir today, highly reccomended by the forums I've been reading.
RunningCourage, lack of sleep is horrible. Can you have a run up a mountain or two?
abcowboy..........awful isn't it. I don't know about how you feel but I felt a bit of a nuisance.
Molls, darling, you must be beside yourself.
Jenny's graduating on Friday. Cap, gown and scroll again. Her last one was a two day Bacchanalia. Reckon it'll be a quick MaccyD and back to see to Bess.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Sounds like you've been through a rough trot, JC. Hells bells...
Had to laugh at the ALDI conversation back there. Here they put you through the check out so bloody fast you end up with PTSD. Don't know if it's a a world wide phenomenon. If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
