Don't know about Mr. Stirly - we don't see much of each other. We we both very unhappy and lonely together and I always thought that it is much worse than to be unhappy and lonely when you live alone. He has a circle of friends in the town he lives in and he is now free to pursue new aquaintances and that would mean lady friends/companions as well. Why not? Life isn't over until it's over. My Mom and her companion met when she was 77 and he 75. They are like little old love-birds - both tremendously happy and content. So, life is what you make it in my books. Mr. Stirly has always been sort of a sit home and sulk person as opposed to me so I can't really know if this move will change that or not. I truly hope it does. Everyone deserves to be, if not happy, at least content with the life they lead. I know that I now look forward to coming home every day after work whereas when I lived with him I would stay at the store until all hours. No kind of life, that, for either of us.

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Croatia, Croatia!!!! and you didn't take me. A defo on my wish list and Athens I'm ever such a good house guest, Stirly. ........honest.
Yep its defo been manky. Our Jenny got the sharp side of my tongue today.......just because she was nearest, poor lass.
There's nothing lonelier than being in a crap relationship. I know its way over 30 years ago since I left my first marriage but still remember the feeling of sitting on the bus home hoping it would explode before my stop.
Had to order most of the supps from up the Amazon.........had a wee trip up to the Boots the Chemist and could buy sunglasses for the dog, hair dyes in 200 different colours or earrings but asking for soluble potassium just brought blank looks. And there was this woman who just plonked her manky bare foot on the counter and asked the pharmacist if there was anything they could do.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Yep....... Got these horse sized anti-biotics to take for two weeks. Have to give my boss a call tomorrow.
My Aunt's away next week to Boston flying with Aer Lingus here to Dublin then out to the USA. She just couldn't face Heathrow anymore. She flew from Edinburgh last year and the staff bent over backwards for her as a solo passenger.
Boots No 7 mascara.....cannot beat it.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Evening,
Glad the patients are improving. Dont know if you like bananas JackieClaire, I am a fan. We chop them and freeze them when they are over ripe. Then Blitz them from frozen (until really creamy). Makes a great base for smoothies or throw it back into the freezer for a couple of hours for a 'potassium rich v healthy' ice cream. Even better with chocolate sauce.
Another vote for unraveling Oliver.
And a vote for Sainthood for Satz.. Often wonder how I'll cope with a major shit, I suppose young Satz is cementing your decision. Hard to watch for you all..
Holiday sounds fantastic Molly - good luck in work tomorrow.:cuss:
Party was grand. Usual 'ah you'll have a small one'.. Said Im grand for now, then they forgot all about me. Pissed people are boring. We had coffee with the running group this morning and it was great craic!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Stirly huge congrats on your 1000 days! What an achievement!
So cannot be arsed today. Not sleeping well in the heat and it is doing me nut in. I do love the warm weather but 24 is about the max I enjoy. Not these 28 to 30s. In work for 4 days then off until the following Weds.
Hope all are feeling better today and those who are off to work have a good un xx

Good morning Starty and all to come. Congratulations Stirly, massive achievement. Love this weather but have been lucky enough to get full nights sleep. Another full week at work and then back to my two days next week. Hope the patients continue to improve. Oh and welcome back Molly, great to see you back.

Good morning Troopers and wishing you all a great, sober week!!
Well we have had such lovely surprises over the past couple of days. First Cinders comes back to post, then Molls gets back from her hollingdays and damn if Bridge from the Undies Thread didn't stop by and post on Jackie's 9-year thread! Just so great to see everyone!
Thanks to all of you for your congrats on 1000 days. It really is a big milestone and one I couldn't wait to get to! Next one is 3 years coming up in October. inkele:
Have a great day - make it the best you can.
Haha, just remembered Tawny's spray for people she didn't much take to - unembuggerance - is that what she called it? God she was a brilliant poster. I do miss her amazing wit and wisdom!!! Do hope she is well...Last edited by stirly-girly; July 9, 2018, 12:37 AM.For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Hells Bells, Stirly 1000 days. All hail! God I hope I see those sorts of numbers again. Is there anything special going on as a treat for it?
Thanks for the little reminder on the other thread re: self care. So easy to forget. I won't hijack Jackie's none year thread any more than I have. Forgetting my etiquette here.
Really good to see some old names still here.
PS: It was Embuggerance Begone - in spray, roll-on and purse packIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
