Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Morning, I'm up but awake is debatable..........
Just me and our Bess today...........happy sigh.
stirly-girly..........well done on your 1000 plus days.........you have certainly changed your life around........be damned proud of yourself.
Very cool here today........
I was looking yesterday at having a few days away in a hotel but forgot we're now into school holidays.........the price of them is horrendous. :egad: Might start looking at Airbnb...........heard some great things about it or get the tent aired. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Thanks for the little reminder on the other thread re: self care. So easy to forget. I won't hijack Jackie's none year thread any more than I have. Forgetting my etiquette here.
Really good to see some old names still here.
PS: It was Embuggerance Begone - in spray, roll-on and purse packIt could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
Good luck, Bridgeeeeeeeeee. It'll be grand.
I've got a full day of daytime TV.............A Place in The Country, Homes under the Hammer, A Place in the Sun.......some of them so old think they first came out in black and white. Cop dramas so old they don't have mobile phones............tbh quite looking forward to it.It could be worse, I could be filing.

My Place in the Sun.........they had a fecking budget of £550K for a place in Spain. They got one and it was magnificent. So big it'd be great for hide and seek.
Now onto Four in a Bed.............no not midday porn..........all about B&B owners. The one at the moment is full of cats and cat hair......which is rather unfortunate as one of the other owners is allergic to cats..........must go they're marking her.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Brig - just sit & 'be'.
Nothing stressful.

Well that's me for the night. Sweet cravings are back. I remember this! I'm off to bed. It's good to be back and doing something about this rubbish. I've just been reading about Liver Function Tests...
Nighters all.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: July Army Manoeuvres
I would love a day of daytime TV I think. Along with a blankie and a dogger on my legs.. Do not feel like this work lark just now, the negativity is doing me nut in again.
Bridge, I have always felt better when I am doing something proactive about the shit I get myself in (regularly over the last few years) And I can confirm that life is definitely better clean and sober. Not easy but defo better.

Sounds so simple, yet I found it quite hard.
I think i need to try it in the evenings - when I find it hardest just to sit. I can - and try - to meditate for 5-10mins most mornings. But the evenings...
Funny how reading something that you already think, or know, or whatever seems to make it more apparent, obvious or like a re-realisation (i think i made that word up).
So sitting and being... have tempted myself to a wee holibags - couple of nights at a meditation retreat in Wales. Just to experience it. Out of the comfort zone and all that. But i'm procrastinating. Doing too much of that.
STIRLY! 1000 days!! That is smashing. That's like over 3 years, innit? Wow!
Off to stay with me folks for a few days - just a change of scenery. Talk to yiz from there.
