    Re: July Army Manoeuvres

Good morning everyone. Bon Voyage Mary, have a wonderful time. Wonderful reading again this morning. So happy for you Stirly and totally agree. We would all be having totally different Sundays if we were drinking. I have not been as productive as you Bridget but just in from an hours walk on the beach with the doggies. Visitors gone and am doggy sitting their dog so had 3 of them. Have the place to myself for the day so am just going to read and relax. Hubby home from fishing trip tonight so have airport pick up.

That's exactly what I'll be doing when I get past the backlog. Good for you...

Nice one Bridge! I know only too well how much work would have gone into that - the wunnerful thing about the drought here is that nothing is growing - not even the weeds!!
So enjoying my free afternoon - Jilly et al arrived back from Kerry this afternoon but they are heading off to a christening - so just me - tennis and football.... yeehaw!!!

I must remember not to be drinking my diet coke when I read over here. I just did it again. :rotlf:

He knows I know and stays away ........................
As for the other fella - GRRRRR !!! He's gone to football matches and probably pints again afterwards.
a great example he is to any alkie - NOT !!!!
But I cannot change him either.

                      Hiya Army!

Frankly Satz, I'd be fed up with both of them. Seriously, how can Mr. Satz expect young Satz to give up the booze when his father continues to drink. Even if it's just moderately. Can he not set an example by showing that you can watch footie or go out with friends or whatever the activity may be and NOT consume AL? Jaysus. I'd probably knock him upside the head, knowing what you've been going through with your son AND the fact that you, yourself are sober and for so long. I admire your patience with the two of them!!

Yes, in love. For almost 32 years now. Crikey! But really, really good friends as well. He's actually the only person that I feel totally comfortable with and feel that I can just be me! I think I already mentioned somewhere that he's 12 years younger than I am?!? Put that together with an athletic body that's still in great shape, an incredible sense of humour, puppy-dog eyes and a gorgeous smile. What more can a girl ask for?...........

Jayzus christo, I would be tempted to divorce one and disinherit the other. That is so crap for you and I am sorry you have to live that way.

Went to the barbie, lots of wine flowing but I was fine. I always use my dogs as an excuse when I have had enough and today I was good for 3 and a half hours! Unheard of for me, usually need to scarper long before that. Anyhow they said come over with the dogs next time and stay over :egad:

Did I mention that he's a gentleman and very clever as well? Haha. Sounds like I've got it bad! Luckily it's that way for both of us! And of course the fact that he's a recovering alkie means he understands when I talk about my addiction. No one else does. Anyway - nuff of me.

Anyone have any idea through FB or some other means of contact what happened to Tony? And Tabbers. I'm sure he doesn't do FB but geez, he's been AWOL for a while now. Hope everything is okay! He was starting a new job, right? Hope he's just really involved in that and didn't get put under more pressure than he can handle.

Good for you!!! And you stayed so long! I always hated staying over at other people's houses - like my SIL's or cousins'. I had to pack my booze in water bottles in my luggage and hope Mr. S wouldn't go rummaging through it for something and have a sip of "water" while he was there. Oh lord, being an active alkie is so fecking tiring, it really is. Sooooo glad that is no longer the life I lead!!
