Re: One Step at a Time - August 2018

Also Liz, I understand how you feel about Lucy. My little Bella doesn't seem well either and I think she may have an earache. I'm so worried about leaving her when i go away, although my best friend will be staying here to care for her, both my sons will be available and my vet is on standby.

EDIT: My vet isn't on standby just because my cat potentially has an earache. Even i'm not that crazy!

Good morning friends. Got through last night relatively well. Hubby just left with Lucy. I'm a little weepy, but know this will help her feel better. I am looking forward to tonight and hoping she's already a bit more spunky. Just a quick check in before work, since it's early. I hope you all have a fabulous AF Wednesday.

                  Pauly - sorry

I'm crying myself. We took Molly to the vet because one of her eyes was looking big. Don't know if it's glaucoma or a mass, but we have to take her back in and have her eye removed.  And her left eye isn't doing well either. I can't stop crying. I talked about just putting her down instead of having her suffer but the vet thinks she'll be ok in a few weeks. Lots of pain at first.

Oh Nora, I am so sorry! How old is Molly? Take some time and decide. I said the same about my Lucy, I don't want her to suffer!
Lucy is the same. VEt said she is such a good patient. I was hoping she would actually be more perky tonight, but she's really not much different. She was looking out the window in the car on the way home and was sitting up which she wasn't doing that on the way there. She didn't eat today either. Vet called hubby and told him that when they were taking Lucy out for a walk, another dog who was in the waiting room on a retractable leash went after Lucy and bit her butt. Didn't break the skin, but definitely a bruise. Really? Hoping this IV fluid flush will just get her back to normal.

Pauly, hope you're feeling better soon. I can imagine your allergies are bad with all that's ongoing on by you. How's Winslow doing, btw?

BIrd, glad your going to take a bit of a break now that everything is moved. You sure are handy, fixing that flat. I would've called AAA.

Well I was up early and now I'm tired. Computers are working again at work, so I'll go in early and try to catch up. So grateful I have work all week. I need to keep busy.

Oh Liz - I hope Lucy is much better tomorrow. Molly is 11 - the vet thinks that she'll learn to cope with the blindness and can live for another 3 or 4 years. He didn't recommend putting her down. We have an appointment in the morning to take her in for surgery.
I can't believe that another dog bit Lucy! Poor thing.

Oh nora - That's so sad. Poor little Molly, and poor you.

I had "the talk" with our vet the other day and told her that my only concern for Bella now is her quality of life, not quantity.
