Evening durty stop-outs! Had the loveliest lazy day today - Joe came back all excited from his bike trip - our plumber is now one of the bikers -- bike groups are like AA groups - look out for each other -- he reckons we will NEVER have to beg for a plumber again:welldone: simple pleasures:yay:
In my life - I read my book - I ate porridge - I dead headed roses - in fact - except for the chocolate cake I pretty much did everything Bridge recommended ;-) (wasn't being worthy don't have any shagging chocolate cake!

Re: August Army Manoevres
Evening,
Is someone going to to give Bridgeee a nudge or she'll be late for work?
Its been one of those Sunday's that just been a gentle day. Had Jenny here for a while. She'd been at a BBQ last night and stayed over there then came to us for lunch then went to see her Granny and Grandpa. Left her phone charger as usual.
Hopefully see her again next week for the Mela next week and I am defo having the fried doughnuts this year.
Home - Newcastle MelaIt could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: August Army Manoevres
Nite all, jam packed weekend. 6 dogs, well 3 and 3 puppies and 6 adults. Mad house but it’s a home not a show house and glad they want to spend time here. Also glad to wave them all off tomorrow though, you lot have been very chatty so need to have a read back to catch up.

Re: August Army Manoevres
Late check in.. busy couple of days here and I love the new thread abcowboy!
brilliant few days, fabulous spot, Id recommend it if anyone is looking for a gathering location.
Felt comfortable around the booze (although I still had a bit of a guard on), despite both my folks offering me wine (they know I havnt drank for years but I never gave them an explanation). Siblings never do. Im sure they all have have theories on why, but Im glad they never press me on it.
they are 50 years married sweetpea29!
Lot of reading to do. I might be up a while!

I thanked and liked this but it was the wrong post. I meant to thank for the "skips" definition, satz123. We call them dumpsters, which is more descriptive but kind of course.
I just wanted to thank all of you for this thread. It is educational, enlightening, a a lot of fun to read.Last edited by NoSugar; August 19, 2018, 08:13 PM.

You are welcome here always
While I'm here I wanted to point out that the Army thread is NOT only for those who have achieved sobriety - we welcome those starting out on the journey ( for good reason a kinda dirty word here :egad:- but I think I got away with it)
We swing from serious to 'not so serious' in a heartbeat.
I started out here having been found wandering within MWO - and I'm still here 6 years later - and sober 5 of those years.Last edited by satz123; August 20, 2018, 04:02 AM.

Re: August Army Manoevres
Good morning--only just woken up absolutely knackered yesterday. I did have a lovely nights sleep.
Just loving the posts here.
Having a tough time with Mr A/b and his cancer --Macmillan nurse just rang and sorted out appointments.
Signed up for mindfulness and off to a yoga class at 12.30. No running today as I am aware I push myself too far.
Sorry to be all me me me!

Re: August Army Manoevres
Good afternoon all,
MrsA  Don't apologise x As Rustop says let this be your place to vent. That's what it's here for. I'd imagine you're being the strong one for MrA and the family, holding it all together, but to keep that strength you do need to let off steam/vent whatever. This is the spot to do it.Well, here and whilst your out running x
Mary glad you had a great weekend, place does look lovely. Good job on the booze front! Congrats to your parents-50 years-wow! 😀
Rustop hope you've a peaceful day at work after busy weekend
Big hellos to rest of you 😊
Sugarbabe you personify education and enlightenment imho x
Procrastinating here, disrupted night's sleep, still in me nightwear, thinking of all the things needing done between my house and Dads and just can't get moving to start. Will maybe write a list! Need a kick up the proverbial
