Re: August Army Manoevres
Evening all
More respectable hour for me tonight. Thanks a million times over for all yer words xxx brought yet more tears to my eyes.
Thanks for letting me off-load.
Yiz know I've two brothers -one who lives 2.5-3hrs away. Works in Dublin mon-fri, has a young son and currently himself and wife are undergoing IVF. He tries his best to help but under big pressure himself. Baby brother is in London offers to help but basically does v little. Much as I love him dearly he is in a bubble there and would have Daddy in a home in blink of yer eye. Have couple of cousins who are v good to us but again they have young families and busy, busy.
That leaves mise! The ol spinster nurse!!
He's on antibiotics at mo but accidentally overdosed whilst I was at work. Has been worse past few weeks I suppose but that could be down to infection and he may improve again. I would take him to live with me in Belfast but that would prob knock him off, strange city/people - so my options seem to be, wait and see if he gets bit better and get help for him, ask about a career break and come live home full-time and do bank/agency work when get chance.... Just hafta wait and see.
Any ways 'nuff of my shite!
Molls glad you can come here and let off steam bout daughter you need that x maybe she needs a gentle reminder that you can't simply be there to absorb all the woes. How to go about that tho? Understand where yer coming from x
Well Satz😊 How's da wrist? How'd YS interview go? He obviously hasn't given up on himself. Good good xx
Oh Jacks are you all excitement bout the car?
Laughed so much at Rustop and her willy-warmer for D'Arsey! Brilliant!
Hiya to rest of yiz

Re: August Army Manoevres
Interesting reading on this site for Alcholics - Fridge riding and keeping RCs willy warm
sweetpea29, Satz is right about the home help, time to put a plan in place before things escalate even more. Make a few calls and figure out the financials if necessary, then tell your brothers. Dont know where your dad is, but heard about this initiative on the radio last year - out there, but interesting.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: August Army Manoevres
Very quick read back so excuse me for not being around much!
Sweetie it all sounds so hard with your Dad--We had the same stuff with my parents and me being the "nurse" in the family took the brunt of the caring and running around. I can remember the stress and strain of it all and some resentment towards some of my sisters and brothers--who would go off on holiday without a thought.
How are things with the boy Satz? Did he get another job?
Molly I have 1 daughter who also tells me her major(to her) problems dumps them on me and then I cannot sleep all night and she is ok next day and I am exhausted.
My other two keep their worries to themselves.
Like the velvet trousers JC-Very classy.
Going out for a run in a bit RC do you fancy a nice slow 6miles? I suppose you are done and dusted now
Hi Mary, Rusty, and all to come.
Looking forward to a great weekend in the Lakes over 20 of us of varying ages so it should be fun!
Mr A looking very happy!

Re: August Army Manoevres
Good morning all. Sure that’s what this place is for Molly. Moans, laughter, support, ideas:yay: Had a very productive day yesterday, sprayed weeds and cleaned out the hall closet, very satisfying. Might add a bit of shopping today. Hope you get your Dad sorted Sweetie. Good to hear you sounding better Anon. Enjoy the new car JC. Waves to everyone else.
