oh SHITE -- had a mad long post typed - and Tilly decided to watch 'the wheels on the bus' --- :egad: and there it is -- GONE!!! too tired to re-type - but basically I think I understand what you are saying Arsey - my closest contact with an ED was my eldest sister - and whereas my parents called it anorexia I'm afraid in her case I would call it something else - the true impact of an ED on the sufferer and the family can be truly tragic - good on you for grabbing a hold of this by the balls so to speak ;-) don't really get the grog connection - but I don't need to - once you do :happy2:

Would Brexit not put a stop to buying in Europe Starty? I thought all those British people who had retirement homes in Spain and Portugal and all were having to sell up? something to do with pensions and no health care or something?

No idea what the impact of Brexit would have. I know some folk that have retired out there. They do not seem to be worried. But like everything would have to consider implications...if Brexit ever happens

Interesting re France - I always thought it DIDN'T have a drinking problem - not compared to the UK - because it's relationship / attitude to drinking was so very different: their beers tended to be the size of a half pint, they drank wine with their meal but it needn't necessarily be a lot. But perhaps I'm wrong?

Saturday and we're ready and we're WIDE AWAKE, lets get set go! (sorry, memories of being 8 and watching Timmy Mallet, Tommy Boyd, Michela Strachan on Saturday kids TV).... Oh to be a kid again.

Hope youse all have a lovely weekend. I've no plans today, hopefully find out whether brother, SIL and niece are heading north in Oct or whether I'll head south. Bit of prep, reading, a run of sorts.

Good morning RC and all to come. You are up early RC, great conversation last night. Have you read the Naked Mind? All about re-wiring the brain and how we think about alcohol. Think we have all struggled with food over the years. If I ate the way I wanted to I would be morbidly obese. Mind you it is the wrong type of food that causes the problem. Glad you had a nice birthday Starty. Nice to be at the stage of making plans for retirement. Hope you get your Dad sorted Sweetie, it is such a worry.

Where you off to Molly? IÂ’m going to the airport to pick up the happy couple, they were in Italy for the week, thatÂ’s the only plan I have so far. Get the beds ready JC, we will all be evacuating when the orange buffoon arrives. From what they said on the news it seems it was a bit of a shock. He kind of invited himself. Well Enda ex Taoiseach gave an invite one St PatrickÂ’s day. Bit like when you meet relations at family gatherings and say you must come visit, never really thinking they will.:exclaim:
