    Morning all -
    HATE anyone staying here - mainly 'cos for years when we used to do it - MrS insists on full sit down dinner, the pub and full Irish next day
    Na! grew out of that years ago. He now says I'm 'ODD'

        Oh me too - and funnily enough since Joe quit the drink, he's odd too:happy2:

                  When I think back - same here.
                  Always ready to have the party here - mmmmmmm
                  Although MrS doesn't drink at home - he'd be ready for drinks in the pub - the food , the beds, cleaning the bathroom etc ( I'd stress about ) would be incidental.
                  Wouldn't work now - I would not go to the pub with them unless it included grub - they've all kinda accepted that now.

                  Oh we live & learn don't we ?

                  ps Week 2 beginning for YS
                  OF course I've said it before but last weekend seems to have hit home. He's been to meetings most days since.
                  Apart from the first few days detoxing & sleep issues - he seems content when not drinking.
                  Fingers crossed

                  ( FFS when I think of me - I had to do it ALONE. There was no support for me apart from MWO. )

                    Of course it's great - just don't get scuppered into thinking 'this is it' someday the disappointment will be too much to take -personally I never mentioned time or milestones to Joe and the family it would have given them false hope - not even the 1 year milestone - I could see them beginning to believe after a year or so but nothing from me - I promise nothing - even now

                      Just had a read back so much to digest!
                      Actual wedding anniversary today so been out for a very posh afternoon tea-- Wonderful.
                      Had an absolutely fabulous weekend in the Lakes 18 of us aged 5 to 78 all ENJOYED the canoeing, archery, hiking and some watched and others joined me in a race (in my wedding dress).
                      We are both knackered now and could be fast asleep by 9.

                          Happy anniversary lovely! Hope you got diamonds an shit as well??:victorious: glad it all worked out well! Funny tried on my long lost wedding dress recently as well - still fitted 'cept for the boobs!!

                            Not much to report from the Scottish barracks other than to say thank you for your advice re my wee woe about seeing my niece. Will be going down in Oct - the rest of the family can sort out when they see each other themselves.

                            Right off to do the dishes *YAWN*
