Now we all know here how no good will ever come from imbibing alcohol.
We KNOW this like we know a lot of stuff - but we still think we can outwit it ..... big mistake.

And another 50 lines from me.
byebyebridgetjones............have to say you have a very pretty foot.
Bargain of the week........picked up a pinafore dress when we were in Tesco's last night, got home tried it on. Found it was on the big side in the boob area and was going to take it back. Found the receipt which included a mound of groceries and no dress had gone through...........I've got a free dress. :happy2: I'll take it to get altered next week.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: October Army Manoeuvres 2018
Morning/afternoon I really appreciate your kind and supportive posts!
Oh Bridge Having recently fallen off the wagon I felt I had all the strategies to get back on again(and I was able to). I am tempted still but able to access the old tool box.
Love the dress satz I am sure you will look fab.
Daughter home from Norway for just 2 hours this afternoon--She is worried about her Dad!
Parkrun was great yesterday I got absolutely drenched however, my lovely supportive running mates made it worthwhile so I went out again today at 6.30 and repeated the run except this time it was 12 miles.
Great free dress JC.
See you later

No problem JackieClaire, I sneak in and out on occasion! Why have the dress altered, a man's solution would be to just have you grow your boobs bigger lolLast edited by abcowboy; October 14, 2018, 03:12 PM.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

Couldn't find the exact dress but its very like this.........Grey check button up pinafore mini dress - Bodycon Dresses - Dresses - women
Looks gorgeous with a Winter white ribbed sweater, fitted like a dream round the hips and waist.......but like I said I'd have to have huge errr chest to fill to top.
Things are coming to a head in the kitchen best be off.......we're having a full English breakfast for Sunday dinner..........we like to be a bit different on a Sunday. How rock&roll are we.......:rockon:It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: October Army Manoeuvres 2018
Hello Army!!
Mrs. A - sorry that Mr. A. is feeling poorly. I am, however, in awe of your strength and stamina. Hugs to you!!
byebyebridgetjones hope your foot gets better soon. I hate to have my movements confined or restricted in anyway. I have long said that if I ever have to have a cast on an arm or leg, I'll take a saw to it as soon as I get home!!
Read back over those threads and I am amazed at how many people were posting back then. I, too wonder how everyone is doing.
satz123 - love the dress! It is stunning! Personally I would go for something like this. About as classy as it gets! A pair of black stilettos with a dress like that and you will wow them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am slowly but surely recovering from having my two grandsons on a sleep-over! Lordy, lordy, the younger one can really keep you on your toes!! 22-month old bundle of energy. We had a wonderful time tho'. So enjoy them. Nothing like waking up on a Sunday morning happily sober and hearing - "Nana, I want hugs!!! "
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Re: October Army Manoeuvres 2018
Okay........I can let you into a huge secret that I've been hanging onto for what seems like a lifetime and it was less than a week. The son and heir and his girlfriend got engaged last week in fair Verona. They wanted to keep it quiet until the near blood relatives were informed.....now I can blab to anyone I meet.....and more importantly she got the ring.....a beautiful squre diamond.......They been together since she was 17 and him 18..........12 years in all. There's now a padlock on the bridge in Verona with his proposal on it.
How I kept it a secret for six days is beyond me...........I am so happy, we're both happy, in fact beyond happy, crying with happiness, in fact, move over Tigger we're bouncing with happiness. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Re: October Army Manoeuvres 2018
Sounds like happy news, JackieClaire! Now both you and satz123 have weddings to look forward to!
This wool/yarn addiction is almost as expensive as my wine one!! I have more yarn than I can possibly knit but I always seemed able to take care of my abundant wine with no problem...
