BRILLIANT! I love this. How close to the wire will you go? Im thinking, the boutiques usually have more interesting pieces, that you wont see else where. they might start their sales in Dec. Loads do a 20% for a weekend, to kick off the C (cannot say the C word) sales.
Youve loads to choose from over your neck of the woods. Have you started yet?
Also, the likes of zara and mango have a much bigger selection online (and better quality imo). Deliver to the shop, refund there and then of you dont like it.

Have you thought about boots with the dress? Can look very funky, especially on a cold January (youd get more wear out of them too).
I've ordered this but not sure - need yiz to be honest.

You'll outshine said SIL just with your smile Satz!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Hey Pauly and Cowboy!
yes, was thinking the same thing about past posters. Often wonder, did they stay off the booze, join AA, find another outlet? I think Id be a bit lost if I didnt have here to check into.

Love the dress satz123, very classy. Jacket is funky, but Id be afraid it would bulk me up..

Satz, My latest passion (read: addiction :yikes1 is knitting asymmetrical, open knit, shawls. In the right yarn, they could be fancy or funky show-stoppers (attention getters :wink and would look great over that sexy black dress!
Because I'm new to knitting anything beyond a rectangle in garter stitch, I can't be wandering around snacking or I'll mess up!

Getting a dog is a fabulous idea, too. Two things I really need in my life are creative projects and a pup. I can't imagine life without either.

Right ....... on advice from a good friend - I am going sugar-free from Monday 15th October.
Add that to the list above ..........
I have all the books & know sugar & other white carbs are indeed my enemy - because the rest of my diet is good wholesome food.

I need 'gird my loins' in preparation and maybe to lie down to absorb it all ... :egad:

In case anyone thinks that is something kinky - don't say I never taught you anything :haha::

Gird one's loins (or gird oneself for something)

prepare and strengthen oneself for future actions, typically ones that may be dangerous or difficult.
Synonyms: prepare, get ready, make ready, gear up, nerve, steel, galvanize, brace, strengthen, fortify, bolster, buttress; informalpsych oneself up
"the Persians girded themselves for an attack"

abcowboy....apologies for no waves in your direction.

NoSugar............wool and yarn is my new addiction. Fairly decent at knitting as long as its for a small human like a baby. I've got the attention span of a fly so large humans have no change unless its a hat. I've got all my Granny's crochet and knitting patterns going back to the 30s to when she stoppedd knitting in her 90s.........fascinating the change in fashions........we'll not mention perms and 1980's padded shoulders here. There were a couple from the 1920's which must have been my Great Grandma's and they've got knitted swimming costumes and men's bathing suits.:egad:

Still learning on the crochet..........been doing squares like a loon and thought I had at least enough to make a blanket for a single bed..........I have but it'll have to be a very, very small bed or a large crib.

One thing I did find in a charity shop was a certain Roger Moore AKA James Bond when he was a male model on a knitting pattern. Tbh its hilarious. :harhar:

RunningCourage.........back to the grindstone next week.........I'll pop a treat in your lunch box......I'll disguise a Mars bar as a yoghurt.

I'm girding nothing next week. I've four proper Scottish breakfasts and dinners to eat.

I'll be girding a lot less than I had planned. Here's a hint:

I love the outfit Satzy. The main thing of course, will be showing up the SIL though. A lot of people at work are doing the 'no white stuff' thing and love it. Generally feel a lot better for it.
I think I'm going to take JCs lead and practice a little more self nuturing in future. The mask sounds doable for a start. Then I might move on to not breaking my foot.
