    Perhaps the best solution would be to stop drinking permanently.

        Kev. Can't recall if you've had a fibro scan on your liver recently? Like an ultrasound. I think it can give a more detailed view of the condition of the liver than a blood test will.

          Most if not all people who make it to a stop-drinking forum probably need to quit entirely, like [MENTION=19596]Slo[/MENTION] said. People who can moderate successfully often can figure that out for themselves. And people who aren't addicted don't need peer support to quit.

          The good news is that it seems more difficult to quit than it actually turns out to be once you've made the decision. The tools and support needed are available here whenever you want them.

            no fibroscan. i should ask my gp. last blood test was fine so they seem to be waiting for 2 bad blood tests in a row before they will do anything.
