Nora - I am neither young nor a lady! LOL
Your work situation must be so frustrating, but it seems that all you can do is ride it out for now. And vent here whenever you need to.
There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues

I didn't come this far to only come this far.

Hi all,
Well got the shopping done with dd1, we got the tackle box and most of the stuff at dollar tree. It was easy enough and she was excited about it. Have my copper class today...Nora, I read about your job last night and then I dreamed I went back to my old welding job that I despised for so many years,. Sorry it has been so bad. I used to tell stuff to the plant manager that I wanted the bigwigs to know, as they were all related and I knew he would run and tell them everything I said haha., very cute your mom telling the doc she loves her. Nice J wants to try for another baby soon. It is nice for them to have a playmate. So glad I have 2....Glassie, glad you are feeling so much better. Very exciting about the baby.....Pauly, my kids say I am yelling at them when I am not. Glad M went to work......I am going to try making a pine needle basket. I have so many pine trees in the yard. I made one once but it turned out lousy......

Pauly - I forgot to tell you that I laughed at Michelle thinking you were yelling at her and you thinking You haven't heard anything yet. :rotlf: Isn't that the truth.

Bird - enjoy the copper class today. Cool about the basket you are making. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Glassie - You made me laugh at your 'neither young nor a lady' comment. I do appreciate you all letting me vent about the same thing over & over & over & over.

Rusty - if you check in - I hope you're having a fantastic time.

When is Liz due home? Tomorrow or Tuesday?

We were just fooling around in here and all 3 of us were laughing. Most of the time, we make broad motions to get our message across to Mom because she is so hard of hearing. It's just silly little moments that we share so often. Last night, hubby came walking thru the living room doing the Charleston to make Mom laugh. So, when I walked thru the living room, I did a silly move as I walked across the floor just to make her laugh.
This morning Scott said that we treasure these precious memories.

Re: One Step at a Time - November 2018

Good morning and happy Sunday! I did get a chance to read back.
Nora, the picture of Savannah is so cute. She got so big. I hope those other tests turn out fine. You're right you can't see it on the pictures. They want another little one already? Things are gonna get lively and that's great!

Glassie, congrats on the new little one? When is the expected arrival. It sounds like you're feeling better and I am glad. How's that thesis coming?

Rusty, I think maybe I missed it, did you go away? I hope you're enjoying yourself. Are your Christmas decorations up yet?

Bird, gotta tell you, you sound like your really enjoying your new surroundings. What are you making with copper?

Pauly, totally understand about your daughter! Seems like there's always one like that. I read a book a long time ago about child rearing and the author likened kids to shopping carts. Sometimes you get one you can just glide along with one finger and sometimes you get one that you need to push with both hands! I've got one like that too. But we love them anyway! You're a good mom, just keep at it!

We had a fabulous time. No stress, just sunshine and thr rocking of the boat, Ports were fun, my favorite was Aruba. Hubs and I went to an resort there with everything including water slides! I had so much fun! I worked out a lot and walked tons so even though the scale went up, it's not too too bad! Sadly there was a fatality on the ship Monday night. As near as we can glean a couple was fighting, he had his hands on her neck and she fell over the railing onto a lifeboat. Yeah well that delayed us getting off the ship. I'm sure alcohol was involved. I did see a few people who were really drunk and I was so glad I wasn't that sick. Anyway, snow on the ground here, ugh.
Have a great AF Sunday!

Hi all,
Wow Liz, that sounds like something from a movie! Glad you had a wonderful time, the pics were looking good.....Nora, glad you can get your mom to laugh. Good times...so I made a bracelet yest at the class. I was so afraid to go by myself and almost chickened out. But it was good and I met a drummer. Making the bracelet was easy and something I could do at home. After class I got in on the ending of Romeo and Juliet, which was going on right down the road. Dd1 was there working backstage. Will see the whole production today....I am kinda wondering about that jewelry making. The instructor said she makes a living selling that stuff. Maybe I will try making a couple pieces and see if they look good enough to sell.....so meow meow was licking my hair again last night. So funny and made me laugh....later

A really quick check in for now. Just wanted to welcome you home Liz. Bird, I'm so happy that you forced yourself to go to that class. I am the same way and would have had a hard time forcing myself to go.
I'll be back nthego:

Finally back.

Liz - are you getting settled in after your trip? I'm so glad that you had a good time. How awful about that woman. Did you get a chance to see Logan today? I'm sure he missed you guys. How is your Mom feeling?

Rusty - are you back home today? I hope that you have had a good weekend. Oh, I just had something I wanted to tell you and I forgot. Aaarrrrggghhh
Oh - are you having Thanksgiving at your house? How is your Mom feeling?

Glassie - you are sounding better. How are you feeling? Still trying to get too much accomplished from all ends, right? You are an amazing woman (just in case you forgot)

Bird - did you get to chance to catch Romeo & Juliet today? You do sound happier now that you are settling in there. I'm happy for you!

Pauly - did you do anything exciting today? I think I saw somewhere that you bought a pumpkin cake. So, guess what I've been craving. LOL I'm not planning on cooking anything so maybe I'll buy a frozen pumpkin pie and cook that.

I really liked that shopping cart analogy about kids. That sounds about right. Ha, ha

Oh - and guess what I just saw on a commercial on TV. A pumpkin bundt cake!!!!

Hope you all had a good Sunday. Nora, mom is feeling much better. Well her back is and emotionally, but her stomach has been getting stomach upsets frequently. I'm thinking maybe one of the Meds she's on. But she is driving again and was in church today. She is planning on baking and making the stuffing for Thursday.

Bird, what a great idea selling what you make, I'm sure you can find craft fairs and such to sell them at or even online. Sounds like your keeping busy. Glad you met another drummer. Good for you going when you were unsure!

Pauly, you guys heard more about that incident on the ship than we did. It was handled very diplomatically.

Did all the laundry, suitcases back in the attic. Managed to get most of the house cleaned for Thursday already. Need to pick up a few things at the store which I will do probably Tuesday. I don't know about you guys, but I really struggle with crowds and lines. I just get so anxious. I think that's why I like to get things done ahead of time.
Kinda late here already and Logan will be here early. Cannot wait to see him! Have a good quiet restful AF night!

Good Morning, Steppers! It is SO good to see all of you! I am home from Houston and all I can tell you is that it was a Jerry Springer kind of weekend. Not what I expected. Glad it is over. I have a report that's overdue that I want to rush to submit in the next hour or so but I will post all the details later. LOL it's going to be all about meeeeeeeeeeeee! Haha! Glass Half Empty....Gladys:heartbeat:if you don't know who Jerry Springer is...he has the longest running reality TV show here in the US....and it's always a show where wives confront cheating spouses and boyfriends and ex-girlfriends confront the women who got pregnant with their BF's babies... it's a non-stop fight sans food!
Lizann...so glad you are home safely. We missed you. Glad your mom is better and sorry the meds make her nauseous. :-( The pics of your cruise on FB were amazing! I could only dream of looking as good as you do in a swimsuit! It hope you came home and stuffed your face with truffles. Haha...just kidding, sweetheart! I read about the fatality on your ship. WOW! It sounds like the cruise line did a great job of mitigating the negative effects.

Much love to all and I'll be back later.

Morning friends,Liz,good the cruise line handled it so good, still a crazy coincidence that you were on the same ship! Rusty,is Jerry springer still on? I was surprised that Maury is still on too,I don't see much daytime TV cuz I'm never home, did start half watching General Hospital tho,I call it my "nap"show,I used to be addicted to " All my children" back in the day,,me and mum used to watch it and sometimes if we were waiting for a juicy cliffhanger she'd let me skip school the next day to watch haha, its been off the air a few years now,Nora, the cake is good, sadly nobody else eats it so I froze half cuz I certainly don't want to be eating a whole cake by myself! I bought a jenny-o turkey but hubs seen that recall of GROUND turkey on the news so he says he's not taking a chance and went and bought a butterball! I'm still cooking both and I'll just take my chances,I'm not throwing out a perfectly fine turkey,,actually I bought two but I'll just keep the other in the freezer for Christmas if this one don't kill me haha,I caught a cold,my chest hurts terribly from sneezing all day yesterday good grief,Bird, did you make the basket yet? I seriously wanna see it when you're done, much love to all and wishes for a nice AF Monday!
