Re: One Step at a Time - November 2018

:hiya: Not much happening here. Looking forward to this weekend and getting away for 3 nights. Don't remember if I mentioned that hubby fell off the back step last night. He wasn't paying attention and was looking up at the sky. Scraped up and a sprained ankle. Mom had a horrible nightmare last night. I heard her screaming out her counting (101! 104! 106!) and by the time I got to her she was shaking like a leaf and so upset. Of course couldn't tell me anything. So sad. And, to top it off I'm not doing well - started a really bad fibro flare up over the 4 day holiday. I've been dealing with the pain and fighting depression.
Sorry that I'm not more cheery. I'm just worn out today.

Big hugs :heartbeat: to everyone. Catch you all in the morning.

Nora :hug: not much else I can do to lift you up so sending hugs your way. You're dealing with a lot and I glad you came here to vent. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Pain and depression is a pretty lousy combination. Rusty, I'm sure it wasn't anything you did to back up that drain. It just happens. I'm just glad we were home and hubby is my hero. He's so smart and handy:love: Pauly, so glad you like working. I honestly don't think I want to retire either. I like the structure too. It's nice to feel useful too. I enjoy the social part of it too. You sure sound like your in a good mood, mom leaves tomorrow? Love how u call her mum. bird, yes chopping wood will make you sore, but I'll bet you slept well! It's definitely winter here! Brrr! I must admit I missed my boots and sweaters.
Logan came over this morning with a striped sock and a polka dot sock. Erin said he insisted on wearing them and he picked them out. So stinkin cute. He loved the toys our neighbor gave us yesterday. Didn't bother with the tree at all.
I'm off to read before bed. Anybody reading anything good? My coworker has been giving me some to read and I'm kind of enjoying something a bit different.

NoraC:hug::heartbeat: SOOO sorry about your fibro flare-up, hubby hurting himself and your Mom having a bad night. Geezz...you just can't catch a break! :-( Where are you going for 3 nights? Will you still be able to go even though hubs is hurt? I admire you for being so unselfish that you show sincere concern for everyone else here even though you are REALLY going through a tough time. I am glad you will be able to get away.
Lizann-Our pipes that connect our units are so old that I have inadvertently flooded my neighbor's laundry room on numerous occasions. Now, we just have them rodded every six months or so and that seems to do the trick. Wow, that castle is really beautiful...so cool! No, not reading anything interesting. Too busy decorating! Hahaha!
bird-I bet your lights look amazing.

Pauly-great job on not drinking the beer with your mom. Such cute pics of you two on Facebbok.

Glassy-please check in when you can.

Ok, off to work out. Happy AF Tuesday to all!

Hi all,
Cold here, I am going to put on my quilted overalls someone gave me to go outside. They were great when I was welding to stay warm. Think I am going to try a saw to cut wood, youtube says it is much easier.....Nora, sorry everything is happening at the same time. Hope hubs ankle isn't too bad. That is sad about your moms nightmare. Hope your weekend will be good though......Liz, that is so cute about Logan and the socks!.....Rusty, poor ol pipes. Good you keep them cleaned out....well, I don't think I have ever had a job I liked, but it is good to know there are some out there haha..maybe I will have better luck next time....later

Hey, one of dd2's good friends had an anuerism (sp) and is brain dead and on life support. They are just waiting to donate her organs I guess. We are all very sad and upset and I am thinking about beer a lot. This will be the second friend dd2 has lost.. ..she is not gone yet but I guess it is gonna happen..

I made it through. I was sitting on the fence for awhile. Dd2 wanted me to find pictures of her and her friend. They had classes together since pre k so I had a lot to go through. I just kept sitting here and going through the pics and now I am feeling better. Not better but not craving!

Liz- I laughed about the socks Logan picked out.

Pauly - how's the decorating going? We are slowly getting some stuff up but no tree yet.
