Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018

Morning and an ooroo to Bridgeeeeeeeeeeee,
byebyebridgetjones...........I dislike Caesar Milan very muchly. Try Jan Fennell.
Shame you can't get a sick note for stress.

All that time off to sit on Mr JC and still a couple of weeks to go see Stirly, Bridge. :welldone:

satz123.........the words "are you dog-friendly" trip of my tongue easily now. Surprised the dentist.

Morning
I'm thinking maybe I don't need a cage - there is someone in this house mostly all day..... JAZUS this is bad as bringing home a baby .... go by the books or wing it. :egad:
Off to work :llama:

It is a bit like bringing a baby home but quicker and no breastfeeding.

My Aunt's first dog hated dog food, tinned dried, specialist.........until my Uncle one day gave her some of his dinner.........from very young she ate what they ate for her own dinner.........egg and chips, fish and chips, stews, proper Sunday dinner with a Yorkshire pudding........now purists would faint.........but this wee terrier was as fit as flea, never overweight and lived a very long dog life of 15 years.

Must get dressed..........got the carpet man arriving soon.

Your puppy is adorable satz123. I did not grow up with dogs but I've had at least one in my life since 1982. I can't imagine a home without such a wellspring of enthusiasm and unconditional love. You'll be able to tell Rosie everything - she will understand completely and not judge

PS I crated my high-wired and anxious boxers - they loved it and often chose their crates when things got a little too peopley around the house. Our last 2 dogs have been goldens - they didn't need crates (and on the rare occasion it has come up, have been able to 'hold it' all day or overnight). Just like with kids, the first maybe 4-6 months are challenging but after that, the rewards of living with a dog far outweigh the effort, in my opinion. So happy for you!!!

NoSugar.......its wonderful how a dog can sense moods. The other week we were watching some of the back stories from some of the service veterans......one young 'un with PTSD had a labrador that could sense when he was falling into a downer (for want of a better word).......and sat with him while he became calm, focussed and breathing properly.........needless to say I was in tears.

I call Bess my sobriety dog. The tears I shed over her and her predecessor Dylan while I was drinking would have filled a lake. They don't judge.

Carpet fitters were late so I had a medium sized meltdown. But the bed is in, the curtains will be up by midnight and it looks luvverly.

Here we are and I think it is day 15, according to county thing.
Observations:
Nice to leave the daily roiling stomach behind.
Still a bit headache-y, may be allergies.
Have either damaged brain or am old or menopausal. Cannot find words especially nouns.
Extremely fatigued still. Could be as above. Will be interesting to see how it is at 3 weeks which seemed to be the magic number last time (fatigue lifted a bit)
People at work are making my skin crawl. Less tolerant than usual. Could also be explained by people at work always making my skin crawl. A little lifesaver is doing half an hour of gardening of an evening when I come home- - during the witching hour.

Moved buildings at work today. Into a building known for it's wankers. The indigenous cadet and I are known for our loud, absurd behaviour and raucous laughter. They put us in together so they deserve what they get. They put us next to an academic head thinking that will stop us but it won't. Dickheads.

Funny isn't it JC? If drinking was such a blast, why did we cry so much?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Morning waves from the up and overs.

byebyebridgetjones.............have a look-see at the Kindling effect in alcohol withdrawal.....I would have posted a link but a lot of them are re-hab adverts.......I had the beautiful pink cloud for my first 30 days............had the energy of a room full of toddlers on a red Smarties diet and on a real high. Bloody awful when it finished though.

We finished the little bedroom at just near midnight last night. Absolutely done in. Mr JC raced up to Tesco for a single duvet and new pillows at 10pm.........its lovely if I say so myself. Few prints to go up. The new bed's ever so comfy will defo be trying it out for a nanna nap later.

I don't know its hysteria but we're going to push on and do our bedroom after Christmas. Mr. JC's got the week between Chrimbo and New Year off and we thought why not. Promise me you'll visit me when I'm finally carted off to the funny farm.

On the YS front - he left to go to 'work' yesterday in the new job - came home at 11pm - showdown with MrS last night 'cos he was drinking - still in bed today. Don't think he went at all..... I have to accept he'll never stop - so just let things be. He's not a dangerous drunk - so I'll let him live his life - just not here full time
I think I'll let him move into his grandmother's house - it's empty & the family want someone to house-sit.
He'll have all the family living close & they'll know if he fecks it up. He wouldn't like that. The denial game would be up.

Truthfully Vaniila Complan and the part of Mr JC's pension he's brought down is being spent on stuff we can see and touch. That bit of a shock we got earlier this year gave us a very much you can't take it with you thinking.

What time do you get your little darling??
