Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
WTF is everyone ?
DD was here tonight to meet Rosie the pup - and it then turned into a type of intervention with YS.
We told him we didn't believe he really wants to stop - so he'd better pack a bag because he's not drinking here any more.
We all said our piece & the consensus is shape up or ship out. None of us give a feck anymore.

S&H came round to help remove the old stair and hall carpet.......we're looking good for an August wedding 2019........so ladies and gents that leaves plenty of time to sort out what I'm wearing. Ideas?????

Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
Yay, Mary. Free at last!
That must have felt better Satz. At least he knows what the deal is now and that everyone feels the same way not just the nasty old Mum who usually cops it all.
That day sounds like bliss Rusty.
New office is working our better than thought. I have it to myself lots of days and will eventually get through my back load of work as it's quieter. Can also chance a sneaky check in here during the day.
Also worked out the fatigue issue as well. I am on blood pressure meds but BP has dropped due to not drinking so I don't need as much. Blood pressure was actually low!!! Hence fatigue.
Amazing. Must do a costing on the amount of medication I've had to use just to counteract the effects of drinking!!!!!!If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
Good morning everyone. Well done Mary on getting rid of your shadow. How did he take it Satz? Glad you are feeling better Bridget and got to the root of the problem. You will have a little palace by Christmas JC.
It is very quiet these days, hope people are just busy. I have a crazy day ahead, running from a to b to c. Glad to be able to. Better get a move on.

Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
Morning peeps
Sorry not been as active... the last few weeks did me in, negative thoughts and habits edged back in. Checking daily, just not always posting. upside is i'm sleeping way more than I used to this past week.
Me maw had a fall couple of nights back too - tripped up on the tram lines in Edinburgh at some silly hour like 11pm. Thank fully no trams or other traffic but was left a nasty gash on her knee requiring a visit to A&E and stitches. She's fine. Still a bit of a shock though. Any injury, no matter how small, upon a loved one, always gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Yay for the weekend. Full day off tomorrow though out supporting 20kids from school at cross country champs on Sunday (but no prep needed  !)
Have a fun friday folks.

Rosie Update : :dog:
I'm officially 'fecked'
This brat had me up at 4am & 7am.
I did the whole thing : go to kitchen - wait till she calms down - take her out to toilet.
Brought her back in - she did wee on kitchen floor - FFS !
It's exhausting : I'm having to teach MrS what I've learned about training first ............ then the pupper.
She's so cute I can't be mad at her but I think I starting to spoil her.
e.g. I'll sit on the floor & she crawls over me & falls asleep.
Mr S later has her on the sofa asleep .... no wonder she wakes in the night whining.
Off to vet today - see what he says.
She's not eating properly for
one thing. The dry food seems to hard for her.
Sooo tired ! Luckily I'm not in work this weekend.

Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
Morning
I had my very first nose bleed last night. Didn't half get a fright, of course, had to google the life out of nosebleeds in later life.........nothing to worry about if its a one-off.
satz123........it had to be said. He has to make some changes, he's just caught in limbo at the moment.
byebyebridgetjones........the number of pills and potions I had when I was drinking must have run into hundreds of pounds plus and the trips backward and forwards to the doctor could have funded a new hospital wing.
IamMary.......loved Line of Duty.........season 5 will be out very soon.
rustop59........eventually it will be a palace. One of the great things about this de-cluttering is I keep finding stuff that I thought I'd lost. When I was under the stairs found a near finished tapestry........its of pigs in a field. I'll be finishing it and it'll be framed and go up in the small bedroom.
RunningCourage.......wishing your Ma a speedy recovery. It could be worse, I could be filing.

It's scary when something happens to our Mammies - hence back to what I was saying to JC - we'd often keep it to ourselves to avoid drama. Or perhaps that's just me?
Where was she flitting to at that ungodly hour RC ? :egad:
Worse than the Mary one out all hours !

satz123.......cross post there.
Perhaps a wee bit of water on the food to soften it or it could be just that she doesn't like the flavour.
Say nothing when she piddles in the house apart from a strong no.........and take her back in the garden. When she does go in the garden praise her like she's just won an Olympic medal. It could be worse, I could be filing.

But then cuteness sometimes overrides any of the other stuff! (It's a good 'fecked' Doc, i hope?) (That could be interpreted rudely :egad: :hahaha: )

Funny you mention that - not told anyone at work. Have a friend who's dad had both legs amputated in the past year... so ma's fall seemed... insignificant...? So, keep it to myself.
I think she was heading back to her sister's - who is also ill just now, so got back and tried not to wake her but then found herself in the bathroom with her knee gushing with blood so had to get her up to help. My aunt did her best patch up, but ma was up a few hours later, still bleeding so took herself to A&E.
Debating whether to head to see them tomorrow...

Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018
Morning quiet people including myself,
RunningCourage......go see your mum. She'll probably say don't make a fuss, what are you doing here, I don't want to be a bother..........but being a mother I know she'll be delighted on the inside.
I'm afraid I am on a real downer. Everything and nothing is bringing out a person in me I don't recognize. My temper is on the shortage fuse ever and poor Mr JC is getting the backlash over the smallest thing. I'm near tears half the time and even my safety net of having a nanna nap has escaped me. I cannot find any enthusiasm for anything and tbh if I was newly sober I'd have dived into the drink like a demon. It could be worse, I could be filing.
