Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018

Morning,
byebyebridgetjones.........haven't been to a meeting in ages. Not since before my hollingdays. Once or twice a week before then.........not keen on the women-only ones for some reason. Its on a need for human contact that makes me go. If I've said it once I'll have said it a 1000 times can't beat an AA hug or the peace in the rooms. I think its me that's changed though. We're lucky there's at least one a day in town.

Mick.........good lad for rescuing bunnies. We did it once with the school rabbit.......Penny. The education authorities banned pets in schools for some health and safety reasons. Broke my heart when she died.........most docile rabbit I've ever met but that's prolly because she was used to be hauled around by 20 five year olds and we were like a rest home.

New front door, back door and door to the utility room being fitted tomorrow. I'm a tad excited.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Would YS go on a forum or to meetings, Satzy?
He does go to meetings Bridgee - maybe average 2 a week.
The latest now is : He missed a job by skin of teeth last week - down to last 2 but they chose the other one.
That fell through and they contacted him & offered it to him.
He has good references for Oz but the last company are not playing ball & won't give a telephone reference.
They said the best they'd do is send a written ref.

They can't be blamed - he messed up big time with them.

I used to be beside myself with anxiety and guzzled anything alcoholic to hand. Its not so bad now and I can take myself off to the back bedroom as its got a TV and the sofa bed in there. Mr JC's home tomorrow so he can deal with them.

Evening,
Took today off and went to tayto park with the younger ones. So cold, but no queues, so that was a big plus. I didnt partake, being a wuss.
My room still looks like a very messy charity shop. Sorting tomorrow. Cant wait.

Wave to @SweatPea29, checkin over the weekend Missus.

How are you doing byebyebridgetjones?

Ah you're probably knackered  don't add more stress to the stress. Nothing wrong with vegging & Netflix after a hard day.
What are you watching ?

I know I'm an ol biddie and supposed to stay in & veg but even my two do it ...... in fact YS seems to relish the sofa and a good docu on nature or mafia or drugs or murder anything really.

Now this (not so sugar laden) arse needs to go to work with some rather lovely (mostly..... some can be little feckers) old folk
- who are just slightly madder than I am :llama:

Get to a rescue place...........the dog will pick you. They're not hard to train.........honest....unless you want to teach them to spin balls on their noses........ Might be a few accidents in the house but once they cotton on to where the back door is........they're fine. The initial piddling in the house is usually just marking their territory.

Saw one of these on holiday.........a miniture Sheltie and thought of you.

Good morning all. Horrible day here so no walking . Your subconscious must be telling you that you needed to chill RC. Glad you enjoyed Tayto Park Mary, have never been as it wasn’t open when mine were young. JC is right Satz, rescues are so rewarding, they just want to be loved. We did have a problem with the marking but she was puppy farm kept in a cage. Learned from her sister to go out so is ok 99% of the time. Spacial awareness is something we are still working on. Hope the new doors arrive ok. JC.

Think it’s a day for fire and crochet for me, have plenty to keep me occupied.

Day 5 AF
Trying to be a lesbian but it's just not coming naturally to me. Don't mean to let the neighbourhood loon down.

Nice productive day, visited Mum and Dad and fiddled with the garden, domestics, shopping. All got to be done. Finished streaming Bodyguard (BBC). Brilliant - binged that one. Now onto House of Cards years after everyone else got onto it.

I think that will be my bravest day walking into a meeting, JC. Like church a bit I suppose.

Jeez Arsey Not much of a party animal any more then? I'd prefer yer Netflix at home anyway.

Love to be having a fire with you today Rustop. We've got 36 degrees here. Sweltering.

Right I'm off to bed in the hopes it cools down overnight.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
