Re: November Army Manoeuvres 2018

Good morning lovely supportive Army .
Mr A had another operation yesterday to check that the chemo had worked and hey presto all the cancer has gone. Got to have scopes every 4 months to make sure there is no recurrence but big relief in our household.
The Chemo was brutal and he has residual pain but we feel we can get on with our lives now.
I have no excuse to cancel Christmas now! My only disappointment this morning.

I think the are long gone.
Giving all year 'round means much more. To send a little gift or card out of the blue ( JC does it :hug means more than any big gesture at Christmas. To know someone is thinking about you means so much. I'll include in that giving of your time too.

( Name & Address provided on request)
totally! I just wrote this very thing in my nieces xmas book when writing about kindness.

Good morning everyone. Great discussion (sermons) going this morning and what wonderful news Brit . Don’t agree with all the commercialism at Christmas. When my kids were young I only allowed one Santa present request and a small surprise. Hear parents at work complaining that their kids are asking for half the toy catalog, well daah! you are the adult, you are in the driving seat. Off to climb mountains in the west this weekend so might not have WiFi , will check in when I get back. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I had an Irish mate who used to blame the British for the potato famine. I used to tell her I thought it was a fungus but she wouldn't have it. She said Queen Victoria did it.

You know another thing I like about the sober gig? I've got a 24 hr K-Mart down the road and I can go anytime I want. Or I can go spy on my brother at his new 'friend's' house and make sure it's going well so he moves out.

Morning,
satz123........thanks for the mention. Its just sometimes I see something that jumps out at me and its pointless waiting 'til Christmas or birthdays.

Didn't we all write letters to Santa? Mine used to be a mile long and always ended up with something like peace on Earth, or help starving babies............just in case he thought I was a greedy little mare and I might get extra Santa points.

rustop59.........our very own Julie Andrews...........climbing every mountain.

brit......good news, darling. I honestly wasn't aware that chemo could be so gruelling.....horrible, yes. But you never know the full extent you've opened my eyes. Christmas dinner...........beans on toast (possibily with a fried egg in top) is all you need to do this year.

byebyebridgetjones..........it set me wondering that I know a lot of people who gave alcohol the elbow during the summer.........got me thinking is it something to do with natural light.

This post was started nigh on an hour ago...........phone, door bell, delivery of a new seat for the conservatory and two new pillow cases. My backside's barely hit the chair.

IamMary........referee comes to mind but RunningCourage...........but hippie is where my heart is.

:haha:
byebyebridgetjones - yep t'was the British - before JC's time though :haha:
Your mate was right - Victoria was a miserable cow. There was a blight on the potatoes ok but there was plenty of other food in the country - but the British who were resident here exported it all to England. :cuss:
So 1 million Irish people were wiped out from starvation and another 2 million tried to flee to US but a lot died en route.
Listen to the words of Fields of Athenry

Just popped in to say nighty night. Ma and Pa in law visiting tomorrow so a grand tidy up going on.

HRH Victoria didn't like us Geordies...........she used to make her servants close the curtains on the Royal train when crossing the Tyne going north..........didn't want to see us dirty plebs.

Got Mr JC playing with the Christmas lights.........it may take some time.

brit, I think we will revert back to Mrs A white we are discussing the famine
Delighted you got good news.

Enjoy the inlaws tomorrow JackieClaire..

For you hippies, one year we decided to do homemade KK. Best presents ever, they were a huge success (apart from my brothers drunk modern art).

Just watched The Late Late toy show. Thats it, Christmas has just begun.

Jingle bells... No more posting here, its fecking DECEMBER already!!

Mr G, I say we start decorating for New Year's, Australia Day, Valentine's Day at least and tuck something away for Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, St Patrick's, Halloween........
