Evening...
The doors are done..........have to say my anxiety was at 99% and blood pressure was coming out my ears...........so took myself off to Marks and Sparks for some chocolate eclairs and baubles for the Christmas Tree. They were lovely lads doing it. Left the place spotless............trouble is now the doors are in and all shiney and new..........I want a new kitchen now...........but a rule has been is once the little bedroom's done and dusted and we've done the grand tidy up that's it 'til next April.

As a non doggy person [MENTION=9094]satz123[/MENTION], I would be a bit worried too, but you have 2 big helpers there. Could be a great distraction too for YS, might walk the legs off him.

Look I know you're all asleep, but I've got to tell yers something.
Today I decided to start a little online diary, just for myself as a bit of a record. Good exercise. No more therapeutic relationship than yourself and a Word document (with a secure password) Anyway, so I'm tapping away bitching about my situation with all the transients in my house and the smoke and the coughing and farting and huge bills.... and I hear a conversation going on out on the deck. First of all I snuck up, then I thought FFS Bridge it's YOUR deck. Well bugger me but the brother and the 2 boys are making ACTUAL plans to move out together the three of them into a house. they will be taking their dogs, kids, bongs, gadgets and all their stored shit!!!!!! I WON!!!!!!

Now it hasn't happened yet, so won't get too excited but how's that????

I'm going to type some more shit into my Word doc!!!!!

Anyway I also thought I'd let you know that all is well over here in tomorrow. You'll all have a great day. Mwah!!!!

Last relatively relaxing morning in bed for... one week. It's showtime. And a whore of a week to endure.

Bridgee - aye, tomorrow seems fine here now too. The winds have dropped and the lashing rain subsided. How's tonight looking?

JC - doors in. Grand. I'd get a new Kit Hen. Always wanted a big kit hen. One that you could dine in. But living in tenements they either tend to be part of the living room or built into some nook and cranny originally designed to store the ironing board. Swing a cat? You'd be lucky to swing a flea.

Prep this morning. Rehearsals this afternoon. Tech run tonight. I just want a book and bed...

There are too many nosy holes here to ever do that. I think jesus what if I die & they go through my things & find out who I REALLY am :egad:
Excellent work on freezing out the lodgers there ...... keep it up........ you'll be beside yer self when they go ......

Imagine if you will .... a bird in a nest. She hatches & rears her babies..... they fly off to do their bird thing.
In my case the baby comes back to the nest with a bottle of vodka ..... and saturates the nest so it falls apart.
In your case you didn't even hatch them and they come back with THEIR babies . FFS... not enough room in anyone's nest for that.

Try to take one day at a time. Even 1/2 day at a time. Don't look forward into how shit the week will be.

Might sound daft but Mr JC works hideous long hours and if he's stressed twitches in his sleep..........we bought him an airfix model...........meant he could sit upstairs away from his briefcase and do something totally do different......or mebbees he was sniffing the glue

Now listen to this......The S&H and his fiance were at a wedding as a groomsman last week at some venue which is £20K to start...then add the food and wine....and then some. £5K put behind the bar for the evening do. Now that seems to be the norm..........but what made my chin hit the floor was the wee gift the bridesmaids got ............£700 worth of stuff :egad: The groomsmen all got a smoking jacket from Harrods (none of them smoke) and as the S&H said its just a posh dressing gown.

Luckily neither the the bride's parents, us and the happy couple can't afford or want this in a million years.........they're keeping it small.

You'll be right for the evening too there Arsey. I've cleared the way. Make sure you make lots of time for the book and bed scenario there mate. It's saving my life at the moment.

Do you know Satz, that's one of my great fears - that I will drop dead and they'll find all of this stuff. Boozehound literature from every recovery group and author. A kindle full of books about drunks come good. Photos of a questionable and very drunk nature. Oh well, suppose we'll be long gone and maybe they need to read it anyway. Had to laugh about the vodka soaked nest.

JC I just can't wait to have a clean private haven again. And I will be literally changing the locks. Whole door actually. Needless to say it will make staying sober so much easier when I'm not gritting my teeth all day.
SO have you seen the engagement ring yet? Are they making any plans?

Afternoon all. Great read today, they are right Bridget you should consider writing ✍️. Glad your visitors are getting ready to depart. Same nonsense here JC and even my daughter thinks the free bar is crazy. It becomes a competition. Waste especially with so much suffering out there. Could be put to much better use imho.

I always hated leaving personal written stuff around but now have an app on my iPad that I can lock with a password. Happy days, I have a gratitude journal and am doing some DailyOM courses. Technology is great.

Did 15km hike yesterday, hubby dragged me along but the rain stopped so was ok. Taking it easy today.

Had another nice little trip to IKEA.........and ended up looking at wardrobes. Tbh I was a bit iffy about their quality but they're blooming sturdy beggars their wardrobes and half the price of some other places I've poked my nose in. Remind me I did say no more 'til April didn't I ???

Bridgey so you not too good at being a lezzer?! Me neither! When you get to my age unmarried/childless you're automatically deemed a lesbian by the dear country folk from where I hail! Ah well, chin up, good job on staying AF especially with the added stress of visitors/invaders.

I've got invaders of my own now- 2 grown men and 2 man size chocolate labs their house sale went ahead but the house they were buying has fallen through.
Down home in Daddy's at mo but will be having a 'conversation' on my return that this can only be short-term. I love the dogs but they are treated like humans and given the run of my house, have to sleep in a feckin bed if you don't mind. I can't hack the hair and the wet dog smell much longer. It's making me itch 40 miles away just thinking of it!!

Mary, sure your girls will appreciate getting their own rooms. funny tho as an only girl growing up I always dreamed of having a sister to share with!

Rustop, what's the name of the app you use? Sounds like a very good idea.

Loving Strictly this year and I normally don't do these shows. Every time I watch Stacey Dooley dance my eyes well-up?!

[MENTION=18312]sweetpea29[/MENTION]........funnily enough I'm loving Strictly too. Got bored with it a good few years back......and Stacy Dooley's one of my favourites too. Love her documentaries and tbh don't know how she doesn't strangle some of the people she interviews. Feisty lass.

The kitchen and wardrobes will have to wait 'til after Chrimbo. Mr JC's still needing some persuasion on the kitchen front.....although the iron shorted the electricity three times earlier (honest nothing to do with me)......so its a step in the right direction.

I'll take the dogs.........nothing like a wet Labrador farting at your feet. :heartbeat: but keep the lads.

Ive been to a few of those free bar, no expense spared weddings and they were never particularly memorable (for obvious reasons when I was drinking!). Fur coat no knickers, predictable.

Laughing about the fear of our online persona being found out, Im always worried about that!! Im sure we wont care when we're pushing up daisies. :flowerspop:
