Evening from the overies.
My little leggies are aching. My mate's in good form but two highly caffeinated coffees gave me a weird buzz..........not much new at work apart from they're opening a creche......that's one thing I won't be volunteering for. I don't mind small children but a quick cuddle and hand them back to their owners is about as far as I'll go.

Evening all. Delighted that we have a Skyped wedding to look forward to :heartbeat::heartbeat: Long day, went to a knitting/stitching show with my crochet group, lunch etc. very enjoyable. Tired now so night night

Evening all - had a nice pottering day - went to gym - food shopping and visit to mother.
While I was gone MrS paid some gobshite 200 euro to cut down a 35 year old tree in the back garden.

A weeping Willow that was taking over ....sad really.

Watched Prime Suspect . I think it's new but it's about DI Jane Tennison on a murder case and her alcoholism ....... God I was cringing 'cos it was so true to what women of a 'certain age' would do. .....

Oh and YS is drinking again ........... I have officially thrown in the towel.

Jesus Satz. I suppose there is a point that you give up. I just did all of my crap behaviour out of everyone's sight while I was looking after myself. He'd best move out and just deal himself.

Tomorrow I am reticently hosting a two year old birthday party and Sunday a day out with friends. All I really want is a good garden and a rest. I'm sick of dwarf people too JC. There is a two year old height smear mark all around my house. Food and crayon everywhere. Might get a cleaner in when the bastards all leave and start from fresh.

Thank God Sweety. Change the locks FFS and never say yes again.

Yes putting day 10 to bed and bloody glad of the weekend I can tell you. It struck me today driving home that there is nothing in my life supporting sobriety - either at home or work but here I am. Never a time as good as the present. Grog wasn't fixing it.

I remember when the S&H's school did Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat (he was Pharoah).....we went on the last night and the teachers were grey with fatigue and near hysteria. The school sold videos........trying to find somewhere that will put it on DVD.

Interesting question you posed. Bumped into a lad I know from volunteering and AA the other week in Aldi..........he'd finally left his partner of many years as she was still drinking and was threatening his sobriety. Once she was in the drink she was cruel, often violent and he just had to walk away and in his words.......mangling his brain. I know Mr JC threatened many a time to leave or chuck me out but if I'm honest while I was in the madness I couldn't have given a flying fuck if he had (please excuse language).....now we talk openly and honestly he was scared to death at what I was doing to myself.

Swedish meatballs in a chilli sauce tonight.........amazing what you can concoct with end of the week with stuff out of the fridge.

What do you mean there is nothing in your work/home life supporting sobriety? Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but do you mean there's nothing or no-one forcing or urging you to stop? Like you're not in any bother in work over it? And no partner at home giving that choice, me or the booze? Like, it's all down to you, and you alone?
Big apologies if I have misinterpreted but that kinda rings true for me. It was up to me to believe in my own self worth and that the booze wasn't contributing to that in any way, no one else gave a shit! Always a work in progress.
