Morning,
A big strong coffee down and off to face the shops for the bits and pieces, like the cream and butter and 2 thousand other things. Tbh a big block of mature cheddar cheese, chutney and a fresh baked loaf would do me.
Just give me a text if you need anything. I do click and collect.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning everyone. Busy day ahead, have airport run and Christmas party so lots of driving. Glad to be able to do it. Now I need to throw a chocolate biscuit cake together, nobody eats fruit cake except me so I have changed it. Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. Must put Wanted on my Netflix list Mary.

The same to you and yours, sweetheart. XXxxx :sendflowers: Don't be a stranger.

Tesco was heaving but I have to admit not bad, not bad at all. Did it all by using the self scanning hand set........Helped a lot by the fact they had the Salvation Army band doing Christmas carols and tunes. Teared up when they started. All rather lovely.

Evening troopers,
JackieClaire - thanks for the shout outs. Sorry been AWOL, mixture of Nativity with the tiny wanes - STRESS! - school xmas services, parties, dinners general madness and hyperactivity from all pupils. I'm more of a Grinch. Or a Scrooge.
byebyebridgetjones Guitarista - when's the big day (can i come?)... Actually was looking at marathons in OZ. Not that I can afford to fly over to the upside down bit of the planet, but just one of those whimsy things I do on opodo.'hmmm, what's it cost to get to OZ...?'
brit - how's things with you and Mr A(b)?

@Satz...1036a7dd-3af3-444c-a8b6-ce394374b316.jpg (I know Rosie's a dug, but it made me laff).

Hope yer all well and the madness and stresses of xmas are not getting in the way of time to relax, and spend time with people you wanna spend time with.

RunningCourage.........there yer are. Couldn't hack a Chrimbo party these days. Got my big night out on New Year's Eve. Luckily its where I work so nobody will be high or drinking. Even my friend (the one I've known since infant school) is coming again as she enjoyed it so much last year and she's a complete normal drinker.:egad:

Had to pop up the Tesco again for some more cream cheese and just on a whim popped into TKMaxx and ended buying a wee jacket.

Yo troopers!

RC, i think the big day was yesterday, but i can't be sure. Jonesy might know. Would've gone viral by now i suppose if it has in fact occurred. :happy2:

Airfares to Oz......dunno, but for me to fly to UK/Europe and back can be around $1000 AUD or so. 650 euro's? Often cheaper booking a few months in advance.

Good to see u Starty! Have a beaut weekend y'all.

Starty and Arsey!!!!:heartbeat:

Hellooo and so noice to see yez!!!

Didn't greet the world until 10am this morning. A bit of a departure from the 5.30am rise and walk the pupper that has become the habit in recent times.

All food is purchased yesterday, big house clean the day before, so a bit of gardening and a spruce up at most today, cooking tomorrow and then we're away. Actually had presents done well ahead of time this year.
Don't ever tell ME that you can be drunk and productive. I would be in a mess if I was still drinking. Last minute everything. God I hate that.

I was going to have a fuss around but then 'Who do you think you are' and Martin Clunes came on and I thought *Raspberry*

Now I'm so glad that the BBC news has got the goods on my culture, JC, because I hadn't a clue not being a particular Paul Kelly fan.

Hey Mary, I don't want to write somebody else's New Year Resolutions but you need a new group of friends to socialise with that are more like you. Enough of this hanging out with drunks that can offer you nothing you're interested in.

I have a feeling that Miss Rosie will be adorned for Xmas. Perfect little creature.

Of course you can come to the wedding Arsey. All invited. I still have a few kilos to lose though....put the wedding gown on (ordered online) and it made my bum look big, so we will have to postpone to the new year Mr G. Just don't know which year.

God that sounds perfect. A poughman's with Branston's. That'd do me too.

Morning,
Well, that's got to be the worst nights sleep in a while including nightmares...........mainly my next door neighbour insisting he installed a coal fire in the living room. We don't have a chimney. Freud would have a field day.

My favourite day.........its baking day. A couple of quiches, sausage and onion pie, cheesecake, mini jam sponges and some other bits and pieces.

byebyebridgetjones..........so that's the wedding breakfast sorted......ploughman's lunch.

When I finally 'confessed' to my friend why I had given up drinking it gave her the opportunity to ask loads of questions. Funnily she said I never seemed that drunk.......but she didn't know that I was just always inebriated. Her brother died from alcoholism at 55 years old. He'd been in re-hab four times. Insisted that he could handle a couple of pints and bless was found dead after falling. When she comes to work with me she can't believe how happy and content us sober folks and how we deal with things when shit hits the fan. She mourns the fact he never found out how good sobriety can be.

So sad Jacks
This is a new departure - logging in from the reception desk - eating chocolates ................... when the cat's away etc ...

Picked up my hat yesterday - I'll post a photo.
I'll wear it to the other wedding of the year - then save it for Bridge & MrG nuptials .............. ( hope the moths don't get at it )
