Morning,
Is it me or is MWO running slow again?

IamMary.........perhaps the kitchen people will do a BOGOF..........I'll send you the free one

Of course, we'll be selling tickets for the big fight over either halogen hob or the gas hob. Teas and coffees are free.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Arvo all. Feeling overwhelmed with the dread of a new week stretching out in front of me. I am using food as my go to just now to dull that feeling of something being amiss along with a bit of anxiety.

Yep it is running very slow again.

It sure is, could not get on yesterday. Evening everyone. Whatever it takes Starty, be gentle on yourself, one day at a time. Northern Ireland must have gotten some of that wind JC, two hikers fell on the Mourne mountains, different locations but around the same time so presume it was caused by wind. Work today so need to get something to eat and have a read back to catch up.

Thanks Jax and Rustop for the reminders. Just had a good sob into dog fur. What an amazing healing miracle those bundles of fur are. I dont know what I would do without them. Going to get into bed and watch Netflix or the like. Mr S is at work so on my own which does not help in these early days.

Mandalas.........the crayons, pens give idle hands something to do. I used to do them back in my early days ( still do a bit of colouring in when I'm feeling stressy) and cannot recommend them highly enough. Treat yourself to some posh felt-tips as a treat.

A very pleasant young man who was quick and informative..helps to know his boss Going in on Wednesday to pick the tops and built in stuff. Its all very exciting and tbh scary. I feel a skip coming on.

Maybe revert to Dr Bach remedies ? HAve you used them before ?
I was really into them years ago & swear by them. I recently rediscovered them.

can't do any harm.

Evening,
Can we have a pic of the (our) new kitchen JackieClaire?
starty, bed and netflix, best place to be right now. What are you watching?? Get tomorrow out of the way, and its Wednesday already..When will you hear back about job sharing again?

Desperate about those 2 hikers Rustop.. My friend was hiking over your way yesterday and said the wind would cut you.

Morning,

Pics please of new kit hen when it's in JackieClaire. That's one of my window shopping day dreams - staring at the kit hen I'd have if I had the dough (and my own pad) to get one. But do swhat you need to do to not be stressed by the work - as the Doc says maybe make yourself scare and get mr JC to give you the all clear once work's done
starty, anxiety's a wee fecker, and I do think the simple pampering - food, relaxation, netflix, lying horizontal, slow easy walks in the woods - are good ways to work through it.

Kept thinking yesterday was Tuesday and woke at 3am thinking it was Wednesday. Ever get the feeling it's gonna be a slow week? :haha:

Have a good day all.

Morning all!
Went to bed at 7.30 and just fell to sleep. Must have been zorsted. Thanks for all the support, it really does help. Satzy the bach remedies are a great idea. I dont have any but i will try and get some. I used to use rescue remedy alot and that is calming. RC totally agree with your strategy. Wish I could go for a walk in the woods today but alas have to slave in the work house. Decided not to take the doggies out this morning in the cold and dark. I had a word with them and they say they understand and have gone back to bed. Poor things. I cannot wait to have more time and energy for our adventures again. I have plans to discover more local walks and explore the countryside. When time is limited we seem to go on the same walks over and over and in the winter it is often just walking round the village in the week. I cannot wait to give them more regular wonderful adventures.
Funnily enough I have zero cravings for either of my vices, just the desire to feel better. I know with the codeine detox it does take a while. I was not drinking enough for that to affect me in any withdrawal sense so it is just the lack of codeine.

Jax we had a kitchen in 2013 god it was hell having it fitted. Delighted when it was finished tho! I hope yours goes smoothly and doesnt take too long.

We are over the monday hump RC and you should be getting half term soon shouldnt you? :haha:

Mary, I just watched the whole series of Prime Suspect, loved it. The detective Helen Mirren had a drink problem through work stress. Could totally relate and the story lines were fab

Morning,
In work today to watch the health and safety video....the excitement of it all.

satz123........I'll be holed up in the back bedroom with the microwave, kettle and a supply of pot noodles. I can't tell you how anxious I get having workmen in the house. I just about moved in next door when they put the bathroom in many years ago and that was just a very long day.
We're very, very lucky to have known their area manager since he was a snotty nine year old. He's one of the S&H's best mates. Mr. JC's did the conveyancing on his first house. Very much a case of who you know and not what you know.

Did have wry smile when the lad asked if we wanted a wine rack.

starty.the energy will come. Just treat yourself gently. The dogs will feel when you're ready to start climbing mountains.

RunningCourage.....you're more likely to get photos of the bottom of my handbag.....I'm crap with taking photos on my phone.

Waves to Rustletop, Mers and all those yet to drop in.
It could be worse, I could be filing.
