Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres

Thanks Mary. I dont want to be selfish but hopefully I will have more time in the future to post and interact.

Good move on the coat Jax. Cannot believe they are putting out spring stock. Its baltic here

I am noticing as soon as I quit my destructive habits I change in what I engage in e.g meditation, breathing, watching recovering addicts on you tube. I fill my life with positive experiences. I do not understand why it all goes wrong though. I cant wait to have a spring in my step back and stop the physical wds which have not been as bad thankfully as previous times. Not nice by any means though. Day 5 begins

Good morning Starty and all to come. Seems a bit frosty here today, might have to run the car for a while before I take the doggies out. You can keep the white stuff Stirly. Love not having to go to work in it. You won’t know yourself Starty if you get a shorter working week so many lovely things to do.

Morning loverlies,
Heart in mouth as should be getting a call from my assigned counsellor from Talking Therapies today. Yes I know I can talk the hind legs of a donkey but that's just general chit-chat......we're going into to some serious stuff.
IamMary..have a look at a Siamese cat.....behave very like a dog.
satz123.....BBC1.
Weather report.......bright and soooooooo cold.
Back when I wake up properly. Blaming Bess as she has decided investigating the garden at 1am is good idea.
It could be worse, I could be filing.
AF since 7/7/2009

Talking therapies will be at your pace Jax and if they are experience will allow it to be formed around general chit chat to move at your pace :heartbeat:

Feeling ropey just now. Yukkety yuk and work is so busy and I feel as if I cannot think straight. Will keep plugging on as I KNOW it will lift at some point

Hey Starypants! It WILL get better. And better and better as long as you stay AF. You know that yourself, having such a long stint AF. I know work is difficult - there are some days when I just want to lock the door and take the phones off the hook. You'll get through it. Just think of your doggers and the nice walk you'll have with them later, not to mention how they greet you when you get home each day!

JackieClaire - just pretend you're talking to one of us. After all, we usually only communicate by messages here so it can't be that much different. Simply that you will not be face-to-face with the person you're talking with. Best of luck. I'm curious to see how it goes....

IamMary - sorry, have to disagree with Jacks on the Siamese cat. They can be both aggressive and territorial and they express themselves in various ways vocally from a little meow to a very loud yowl, as if they are in pain. Have had bad experiences with them in the past and wouldn't recommend them for kids. Sorry, Jackie to disagree but I had one attack me once for no reason and also my aunt had a neighbour with two or three of them and they would get up on top of the kitchen cupboard and sit there and yowl down at you. Not fun....

Snow has mostly melted and it's raining now. Temps at 7C so much warmer than yesterday, although still cool for my taste.

Catch up with youz laterz....
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
AF since 10/10/2015:yay:

Oh yes, I will get through. I did it today and will again tomorrow It is the lack of codeine that makes me feel so rough more than the AL. I really never miss AL at all even though I succumb from time to time. But I know that even a bit opens the door to other stuff, negative thhinking and poor choices.

I had a chat with my boss about the progress of my application to reduce my hours. Apparently they are reorganising the whole dept and it seems that I may do a job share with another girl who is coming back of maternity that I get on very well with Not sure yet exactly what it will be but looks like will still be managing which should be more bearable with less days to do it. All in all feeling much more positive even though I still have the runs. :egad: Sorry TMI I know :haha:

stirly-girly.......that sounds a fecking nightmare. :egad: I've only known one and it behaved like a cat with a bit more brain power. Mers don't get a Siamese.....a good moggy will do.

starty........TMI........no worries. I'll keep everything crossed for you on the job front.

Talking Therapies got in touch and I start unloading properly with a counsellor on 21st January

Go RC Go!! Just take it handy, nice steady pace and you'll be grand.

OK no Siamese cats JackieClaire and stirly-girly! A pair of standard lazy affectionate kittys will be perfect.

starty, hang in there. How long does it take for the codine to get through your system. Springy step on the way soon...

Goodness me. Yer blink and two days have gone by. Sneaky check in from work. Only one way forward, Starty. This time I was better within the week, another big pick up in pace after 3 weeks, but took two months for my cognitive function to noticeably improve. Terrifying really. Seems to vary by quit and substance and extent of usage, and of course individual.
Anyway I'll nick off before I am discovered and be back tonight.

Good morning everyone. Hope you are feeling better Satz, dreadful doses going at the moment and I guess where you work does not help. Each day you will feel better Starty, any idea what caused the relapse, stress etc? Hope you get the work situation sorted. Glad you got a date JC, good luck with it. Two moggies sound adorable Mary.

Go RC go, you have your very own cheerleaders online. Hi Stirly and Bridget and anyone else I missed.

Morning all! Been up since around 2 as sleep is not my bedmate just now. Hard to motivate myself to go outside as its so cold. So I didnt. Poor doggies, they seem content in bed but its not really fair on them.

Hi Rustop, I think alot of my reasons to use again are probably down to mental exhaustion from the work treadmill. Its a demanding job and I am not young so by the end of the week I can be floundering. This time I was going on holiday and felt too exhausted to even think about it so I picked up again.

Bridgey, yes the body will choose the time its going to take to release the toxins and allow some homeostasis to resume. It is scary what substances do to our physical health as well as mental.

At the moment I am using a lot of sugary stuff to help lift me. Will join you all on the sugar free bandwagon as soon as I am able

Satzy, hope you are feeling better today.

RC, that run sounds awesome!
