Well here I am still :checkin:

Just bathed Rosie - hilarious. She just tears around the house from sofa to sofa & then bed to bed - trying to dry herself I think.
Either that or she's hyper from all the treats I had to give her to keep her still.

PS my once nice house is now a shambles

Afternoon/Evening... am gonna say evening cos i had me dinner already.
Rustytop59 - Happy Birthday to Himself. Hope you have a grand night out.

See addition to painkillers, or other drugs readily available - say pot, for example - i just never had an inclination for them. Suppose codeine, being a shit lot stronger than paracetamol gives some kinda kick. I only ever take ibuprofen if i have achey muscles. Although I am often achey and creaky I rarely ever take ibuprofen. Paracetamol would always sit on the books I never read at my bedside when I was drinking too much. Which no doubt doubles the buggering up of what one can do to their liver. Nae good. Funny tho, how some drugs are attractive to us (so AL for me and others) and others not.

Did a long run. I'm achey. But pleased that after 23 miles (longest I've run since London Marathon last April) up boggy hills over 4 hours, I may actually manage 28miles along a muddy river path.
JackieClaire - you said it landed on my lap for a reason. As much as I don't buy such sayings as "what is for you won't go by you", it does make me think... like, well, what if things are put on our lap for us to decide what we do with said thing in our lap. I don't believe in fate, but I do remember my maw once saying that perhaps coincidences were not simply that but something helping us or guide us or something.

I'm just looking forward to a new medal :haha:

In other news, my cat has a big arse. As much as I love her sitting or lying beside me, it constricts my shoulders movement as it her arse spreads itself.

rustop59..........must have been something in the water back in 1959.........Mr JC's and a couple of friends reaching the big 60 this year.
Happy birthday to Mr Rustletops.......

starty...can't take the ordinary even the ibuprofen or aspirin plays havoc with my tummy. When I hurt my back in April got some codeine ........helped me move properly as I was tensing up with the pain. Have to admit that the idea of taking a double or even triple dose but thought better of it.
Got to say you are sounding good.

satz123.....I :heartbeat: Rosie. Bess gets her hair done up the road.
Tried pot years ago and it did nothing.......everyone else off their faces and me just sitting there puzzled at their excitement. Bit like sitting in a pub full of drinkers and you being the designated driver.

I did see that about Shambles. What a turnaround. All power to him.:applouse:

RunningCourage......

Spent half a day (well it felt like that) in the kitchen showroom just looking at the colours. Why can't they just put white, cream or grey.........not Camden Dove (grey}, Glenco Larch (cream) or Esker Azure (white).
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Was Shambles the bloke with the crazy guy typing? Often wondered what happened to him, he was quite young I think? Thats great news.

HAPPY Birthday Mr Rustop rustop59!! :flower: Sounds like a lovely weekend.
Presume your navigating nicely through the bottles of bubbly?
I was six months in when MrM had his 50th. I remember everyone here was brilliant.. and I needed it!

Attacked the mountain of laundry today. I seem to be doing massive clear outs constantly, I think we have Tardis wardrobes.

Wedding was nice, different, well sad (she just lost her dad suddenly last month and was put under pressure to bring forth the wedding so the new husband could take more responsibility). She married for duty, not love. Thankfully, we have come a long way in the last 100 years, 50 even..

I am jealous. Really really really want a new kitchen.:crybaby:

Interesting about the tablets starty. Is there no restrictions there? can you buy a couple of packs at a time?

Morning all!

Satz a dirty house is nothing compared with the love and support of a pooch Bet bathtime was entertaining !

RC love your cat;s big arse And congrats on the run. I wish I could still run but hey ho I am lucky to still be able to walk without pain so will take that happily

Jax, yep they get me like that every time so for me they are a no no. I have had much stronger ones when I broke my leg which I did not abuse but I LOVED them. Anyhoo one cannot live like that.

Mary that wedding does sound rather sad. RE the tabs yes there are restrictions and that is why one has to chemist hop to get a supply. Its a full time job

Morning,
IamMary.......its a necessity. We're walking out of the kitchen with knobs and screws wondering what's going to drop off next. Its nigh on 30 years old. All part and parcel of the grand decluttering we're attempting. Mind you with our budget we'll prolly get a bunsen burner and a small table..........in Camden Grey, of course
Just tried out the new curtains we ordered online and as blues and greys are so de-reguerre these days we got grey but they're so grey they're nearly black. Off they go back. Be like sitting in an air-raid shelter if we closed them.

starty........jeez it was blowing a gale last night. After letting Bess out had to put my shoulder to the door to shut it. I don't mind ice, snow, sleet but high winds scare the life out of me.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Afternoon folks, not a lot bar the mundane going on in my life these days but that's just fine by me.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Ok fair enough, you can get a new kitchen first

Would have been back earlier but the day ran away with itself. Nothing exciting but mundane suits me too.
