Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres

Your up and out early Rustop, did you see the blood wolf moon?

Sick kids here, head colds and aches - Im usually slow to keep them off school, but they look miserable, might have a duvet day tomorrow..

I only heard that recently, mad!

RunningCourage..... I thought as rare as hen's teeth was a Scottish phrase.
Surprised with the anxiety on both appointments today my blood pressure wasn't coming out my ears. All done and dusted and onwards to new stuff
Lovely Silent Witness......body parts all over the place. Nice and gory.
Crossed post JC. Glad it went well today

JackieClaire - I am binge watching years of Silent Witness - dunno where they came from but LOVE it.

Post Mortems. Wouldn't it be horrible to think all your bits would be removed and put on a table. :egad: or worse someone you love cut up .... Shocking.....

Morning all,

Mindfulness sounds like a good idea. Did a course myself and it is helpful.

Not sleeping, burnt out and frazzled here and having a cry at cold feet.

Have a good one all

Morning folks, I was awake very early this morning, probably cause I was up to see the eclipse and red moon yesterday and somehow messed up my sleep pattern. It didn't look that red tbh, but a lovely sight none the less.

Good morning early birds and all to come. I did not wake in time to see it yesterday and it was gone by 6 when I did get up. Early night tonight for Starty and Tabbers. Glad yesterday went well JC, must get back into the meditation myself. You still doing yoga Tabbers? Started watching Cold Feet last night too on the player, a new series is on TV and missed the first one. Must check out Silent Witness. Frost again and inclined to rain so better give myself plenty of time, roads will be a mess.

satz123 ........my mum had to have a post-mortem as she died suddenly. Horrible, horrible to think about but necessary so you just push it to the back of your mind. Its poignant we're talking about it as its 14 years today since she died.

Back from the vets. Taking a nearly 15-year-old Bess to the vets for anything fills us with dread and I felt sick all day. There's just the feeling that you'll just come home with a collar and leash. Luckily it was a hematoma and the vet managed to drain it. We're back next week to see how it goes. Bess isn't bothered and managed to do a lot of sniffing of other dogs bottoms. I suppose that's dog heaven.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Watching Broken (BBC drama) on netflix. Its dark but I'm glued to it.
Must try to get Silent Witnenss from somewhere.

Zero degrees out.

Good morning all,

Relieved that Bess' lump was not too serious. Always a worry when they are older.

Hope your kids are feeling better Mary. REally would love a duvet day

Bit of a covering of snow here. Not enough to disrupt. Temp around -2 I think.

I so want January out the way. Feels like forever this month. Next day off I have is in Feb....and I get to have a colonoscopy on that day. Whoop whoop!

Just been watching Stacey Dooley investigates on the Iplayer. She is one inspirational lady.

Have a good one folks

Arvo lovely ones.
So glad that Bess is OK, JC. We just love them so much, don't we? They'll never know how much. I laid in bed with my girl this morning and was late to work because there was a thunder storm happening and she hates them. It was lovely laying there with my best mate and she needed me.
The search begins for work here. Enough is enough. Tired of being treated like someone's pet chihuahua or 'Bubbles' the secretary in Ab Fab.
Must look out for Broken, Mary. I have binged my way through quite a few series during this dreadful heat when I feel so depleted that I can barley keep my eyes open of a night. We've got a cable channel here called BBC First - so many great shows on it. Silent Witness included which is awesome. It's that Fox girl isn't it?
Would have loved to see that Red Moon Tabbers. Northern lights are on my list.

Hope you can keep your chin up there Starty. It takes so much bravery every day, this does. I had forgotten, I'll be honest. I'm finding it's easier if I just keep busy with my bits and bobs and keep going.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Morning Bridgey. It is just pure burnout. Probably similar to how you are feeling with your job too. The drugs are tempting to just take it all away for a while. But I know deep down it wont be a while it will be on and on until I find the desire to quit again. Endless roundabouts.

My boys are my absolute reason for keeping going, their need and their love and acceptance is all I really need.....and a bit of money for food and petrol :haha:

Exactly my dear but at least you realise and are working a plan for it. I still make the mistake of thinking that everything will work out when you give up the substances. But it doesn't . Not all by itself anyway. It's just the way that you respond that changes dramatically.

Good morning everyone. So glad about Bess, as Bridget says they don’t realize how much we love them. Good luck with the jobs ladies, hope you both get sorted. Keeping busy is the key. I’m here a lot of the time on my own which used to be a ticket to boozeville. Now it’s feet up with crochet, maybe audio book or Netflix. Could do housework but hey life is too short. Enjoy the duvet day with your little ones Mary, they grow up too fast. Today the roof work starts and I need to put all the Xmas boxes up in the attic, I just shoved them into daughters bedroom so that will keep me busy. Amazing moon last night and looks like sunrise will be spectacular this morning.
