You sound like you need a boost.
In fact you sound like I did a few years back. Your serotonin levels are low and that can be fixed. I went to the doctor and cried my heart out & I don't cry easily. She gave me Sertraline and they were brilliant. Took it going to bed & slept like a log ! They take up to 6 weeks to kick in and bring levels to normal but were worth the wait.
I agree on the lads being a comfort. Our world revolves around Rosie - we love her to pieces - pity I didn't have her way back then .......
Dogs live in the moment and are always happy - no baggage - no analysing everything - that is why we love them .....

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Morning,
It must be Baltic out there. Just had a look out the window and the school kids trooping up to the Metro have got their big coats on and some are even wearing wooly hats :egad:
I've been recording a load of old Law and Order and Law and Order SVU. And got a backlog of Vikings to watch
The one thing that kept me going in my darkest days was the fact that the dog needed to be fed, needed to be let out or walked. The times you're crying your heart out and nudge of a wet nose or a paw on your knee to let you know its going to be okay.
There's some complicated science about how wolves came to the humans and how they tamed us not the other way round. I'll have a look later to find a link.It could be worse, I could be filing.

A little light reading..........
It is dogs who trained humans, not the other way round
We Didn’t Domesticate Dogs. They Domesticated Us.

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Thanks Ladies. You are right, I do need a boost. I am running on empty and the cravings today have been brutal and more than just a passing thought. Not keen on going on ADs again just yet but would never rule them out as they are helpful.
Had convo with one of bosses today to find out what score is. Mat woman has put in appeal and they have to deal with that (I am very pissed off as she put it in on the last day she could thus holding up matters more than necessary) I have said I do not want to work with someone who is not happy in their role as I will be left holding the baby. I have stressed I am flexible and just want to know what I am doing so I can plan my life. They have thanked me for my patience and appreciate my flexibility blah blah. They have assured me I will get an answer next Friday as to what will happen next. I have queried if it may be a no but they implied that would not happen. Jayzus

Hang in there starty, next Friday is also the end of the January ink: You'll have another week in the bag and you can start to properly plan. Its like breaking up with the boyfriend, once youve made the decision, it cant happen quick enough!
Agree, giving up the substance abuse doesnt fix everything, but it gets the mojp back and leaves a bit of space in the previously obsessed brain, to think. Although the obsession about not drinks lingers for a while, the fecker.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Re: January 2019 Army Manoeuvres
Good morning everyone. As Mary says hang in there Starty and hopefully all will work out. I find the longer I’m af the less I even think about it, just a fleeting thought every once in a while. Do need to keep being alcohol free to the forefront of my mind and that’s why I read and check in every day.
Another cold one here. About to walk the doggies and then going into city to meet two friends for lunch. Satz, where are you watching silent witness,? Could not find on Netflix last night.
