Re: March 2019 Army Thread

Can I borrow that digging machine up there for the weekend?
Don't get me started about phones. I hate them but have now become a big user unfortunately So much you can do on the stupid things.
Turns out the student put into the ambulance had kidney stones. Mother came roaring up in a black Mercedes and when I made arrangements for the girl's car to stop here for the night, she was driving a new Mercedes too - with a P plate attached..... for the love of God. The student carpark is FULL of Audis, BMWs and Mercs. Don't try to tell me that education is not just for the privileged. How is some poor, bright but working class kid ever going to afford a $100,000 degree?

Morning,
IamMary........the garden project will commence Easter weekend. I have a cunning plan. Everything shuts down over here Easter Sunday so can get the S&H and Jenny's BF to do some of the heavy work..........they're both big, healthy, hefty lads. Bit of digging will do them no harm.
byebyebridgetjones............student loans. My two will be in debt 'til the day they die and that's with a bit of help from us.

Shout out to satz123. Getting a tad worried.

Every work person turned up on time. The decorator was here longer than expected mainly because of my dithering between jasmine white and frosted dawn colours. Natural wicker and ivory were a bit too light brown for me.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning everyone. Sounds like it is all coming together JC. Yea shout out to Satz, have not heard from her in a few days. Have to say our two madams were very lucky, bank of Dad funded their education. We did not go down private route with secondary school and with third level, one of them got a good few scholarships. Still glad it is all over now and our skiing has just begun (spending your kids inheritance). Himself has 3 fishing trips abroad planned this summer and I got my little run around car yesterday.

Have no doubt they will bring many bumps to our door in the future but for now I am enjoying it. Beautiful morning here again so a nice long walk in the woods planned.

yep that phone thing bugs me too. What i hate is that we have become so needy and to 'need' to respond to the first buzz, ring, beep from our phones. I notice I can do it myself, though actively try to stop it because I simply don't want to feel that I am available at all times of day and night:
RC - agree. I hate to think I'm available 24/7.
Like FECK OFF I'm doing something ....
( nothing IS something) :haha:

There you are Satz.. hows the young fella doing?

I think we are quite heavily subsidised for 3 level, but I will expect them to get some kind of a part time job, Im not bank rolling their social life. Didnt go down the private road for secondary either, Im not sure its worth it.

Happy driving rustop59!! I like that, SKIing :haha:

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!! TOTALLY agree.

Quick pop in - marathon was painful IamMary... well the last hour was, but it was bonnie - awesome sunset over Kielder lake, though no aurora (which we'd been told there might be). Pitch black with no street/urban lights and only the trail of runners head torches. Idyllic if it were not for the excruciating muscle pains in my calfs/hams/shoulders :haha:

Last day of school today. Show went well - were told by parents it was the best yet (think they say that every year) (affa' memories those parents :haha... and the PT said last night they were going to do all they could to keep me (they can only do so much as so much is out of their control, but the sentiment was awesome)... I struck lucky with this school.

Have an awesome Friday (night if your upside down bridgey)

laters -

Good morning everyone. Well done RC, you sound great, enjoy your break. Delighted Rosie is out the other side, well worth it.

Yesterday was amazing, spent most of it in the garden. Just doing the spring tidy up but was so good to be outside again, even the doggies appreciated it. Crochet today and a lot of running around.

Hello all Your day sounds perfect Rustop. Love getting things done now the weather is improving. Even getting out and feeding the birds, doing poo patrol and having the door open is a luxury that i never tire of.

I am going to sign myself up for a sketching workshop in a couple of weeks. I am rubbish at drawing but would like to learn and having the time now to explore these things is wonderful

Got authorisation to see a consultant about my hip so once that is done I can see what options I have.

Mat girl started on Wednesday. Wednesdays are the only cross over day and training day we have. And she has booked next Wednesday off :egad: Dont think big boss was too impressed

Today is a day for a forest ramble I think.

Delighted Rosie is being a good girl in her suit. I have never used one for any of mine or a collar they just didnt bother with their wounds. Used an inflatable collar when Casey had surgery on his eye as that would have been disastrous if he got an infection.

Enjoy your Friday peeps

Well, wouldn't you? Its very similar to the white cotton. Anyway they'd run out of Satan's blush.

I found myself saying things like 'I need a blank canvas to put some art-work' and 'the family portraits will be more visible'
By art-work read .......a print of a highland cow... and family portraits........read the kids school photos from 1990.
starty........I'll take one of your originals after your sketching classes.
I'm watching too much DIY programmes of how to do up this hovel genre.

RunningCourage........:heartbeat: Keilder.

Ah RC I'm so glad you've finally found a niche and that you are happy (ish) ? in work
Fingers etc all crossed that you will be made permanent it will boost your self-esteem no end.

Even at my elder age it's important to feel appreciated.
Since ol bitch face left my boss has realised I was not just picking up what yer wan couldn't be bothered doing.
She is at last asking my opinion on how to make improvements instead of me having to go thru that WEAPON..... I think she was intimidated by her for some reason.

It's all one happy family now she's gone with open communication.

She has even started to say 'stuff' about her but I will not fall into that particular trap.

Do you think a body suit would help a boy dog when he gets neutered? Time Buddy got done. Spring is defo (well today anyway) in the air and the lambs are multiplying.
