Good Evening Friends!

Pauly!:yay: It is SOOOOO Good to see you here! We have missed you. You never make your posts all about you! Don't we come here to have a safe space to vent? YESSSS! No one here talks only about themselves but so what if they do??? I have been looking and looking for that wonderful link you posted on FB, the letter saying goodbye to AL...and I CANNOT Find it! I have been looking all over for it. Could you please please please repost it? I was at work with a client when you posted it and I didn't have time to read it. Thanks! :-) Such a cute pic of Kell on FB. Rome looks just like her.

Morning friends,Nora sad that Savannah has an ear infection think Romeo has one again,Kells against him getting tubes put in but honestly I think it's a good choice cuz he seems to get ear infections monthly Rusty,I don't remember a goodbye to Al letter? Maybe it was someone else or maybe I shared something from one of the non alcohol people I follow on there and just can't think what it was,Liz I'm like Rusty and try and get a new phone nearly every two years,I'd have even kept my last one if the screen wasn't so cracked,I laughed that all the times I was drinking and listening to music on my phone I never dropped it and the one time I did I was sober, just trying to hurry and show hubs a pic of the boys between commercial breaks haha,Bird, how's your trip? Hope all is good, waves to all and wishes for a happy AF Thursday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2019

Good Morning!!

Pauly-why is Kell against Rome getting tubes in his ears? Several of my nieces and nephews have had tubes put in their ears because of non-stop ear infections and the tubes stopped them from getting those painful ear infections. So sad when you hear babies cry in pain...:-( I think it was a link that you shared from one of your non-AL people, so last night I went on your FB page to see if I could find it and I couldn't. I think it was about a week ago. When it comes to cell phones, nope, I have never lost one/damaged one when I was drinking, only when I was sober! Hahahahah! I have a screen protector on mine so the screen doesn't crack. I can be careless and clumsy.

Glass Half Empty-I just thought of you and had to post this: I saw on the news that a koala bear jumped into the back seat of a family's car, with two dogs in there, one in the front and one in the back....and they just looked at each other with these puzzled faces. It was so cute! The koala bear just looked at the guy's face as if to say, "Come on! Aren't we going someplace?" The koala bear was in there for quite awhile because the family didn't know whether the koala would bite or not so they just waited for it to make up its mind and finally, the little furball jumped out of the car. :-) I wish Australia were not so far away, I would LOVE to visit!:heartbeat:

OK, I have a few work tasks to do so I better get moving!

Happy AF Thursday to everyone!

Hey all - well, my friend plans on talking to the boss today. She no longer wants to be in purchasing. She wants to be transferred out of it. So, we shall see what happens.

Rusty - I love when you get all newsy.

Well - I think my break is over so I better get back to it.

I'm baaaaaccckkkk!

Nora-I am glad your friend has you to talk to...it's really tough being in purchasing....it can be a high-pressure job....with the boss always pushing the purchasing person to find suppliers/vendors with cheaper prices...and then if something is wrong with the purchased products...why, it's the buyer's fault for choosing that supplier!!! Um, Not always! NoraC-do you mind saying what your job is at this company...I don't think I ever knew but if you are not comfortable revealing that information, I totally understand. :-)

Hi all,
Boy am I way behind. Well got dd1 off to Kentucky. We both slept poorly at the motel, and I was so tired yest. She is having a good time...saw this used drum case I wanted today on craigslist, met the guy at Waffle House to buy it. We talked forever about old drums and drummers and bands around town and young drummers and more drum stuff. Anyway we decided we would get together and play some. He has a lot of vintage drums he fixes and sells I have seen online, very nice stuff....put up an outdoor tv antenna today, which I have been putting off since I did not want to crawl under the house, but figured out a way to do it without so...now I can cut the cable....Nora, I believe in ghosts, saw my dad once, my mom said it was because I was sick,I was dreaming, but I don't think so. It happened during his funeral, which I was not allowed to go to because I was sick. He stood at the foot of my bed and was very sad..does your friend work in your department? It is nice to have a friend at work......Liz, I have a friend as well that I made when dd2 was in pre-k and we are still good friends. I eat kale sometimes, I like it in soup.....Rusty, that is some story about the koala! Glad you had some home time....Paulie, glad you are posting here again, we miss you when you are gone....b

Hey everyone. I've got a work dinner to go to in a bit. Learning how to get insurance authorizations on some of these expensive asthma drugs.
It's kinda late to be eating dinner, but whatever.
Rusty, I love it when you're chatty! I did hear that story about the koala bear! I'm impressed with your knowledge of how purchasing works.
I guess you worked there in a prior life?
bird, how nice you met that fellow drummer! Never know where a new friend is going to come from.
NoraC poor Savannah! Pauly, I can't imagine why Kelly is so against the ear tubes, but it is her child. I suppose they eventually outgrow tthe infections anyway. Is she afraid it will harm his ability to hear?

I think she's just afraid of surgery? If he ends up having another one I'm gonna try to talk her into it, actually when Brady was little they said too many infections could damage his hearing so that's something to consider too,Bird, how are your cravings? Funny how we go along just fine then bam! I just got hit while cooking dinner, dunno wtf that came from,I won't cuz I don't

Koalas are so adorable but also becoming endangered! I didn't see that story but when they start "befriending" humans or climbing into their cars it's only because we're destroying their habitat and they have nowhere else to go. It's so sad!

I also often don't post because I feel like I'm just always talking about myself.

Hi all,
Cherry blossom fest going on here. I am going downtown in a bit and see what is going on. Also there is a big plant sale, so will get some stuff for the garden....had the worst nightmares last night. Glad I am awake now hahahaha...Glassie, I think we are all here talking about ourselves, talk away. ...Liz, I get my asthma drugs from a Canadian pharmacy. I can get 3 symbicorts and 3 ventolins for around $120..last I checked here symbicort was over 300. Crazy....Pauly, I am not having any cravings right now. But when they show up it is bad.....did you see my post awhile back about dd2 getting the laser for her ears instead of the tubes? It just took a sec, I held her still and he did the laser. I could see it on a big screen. Maybe something to look into....waves to Rusty and Nora....

Hello all,Bird,I didn't see that post about the laser, sounds a bit less intrusive I think? Glad you're not having cravings, they are irritating and stupid when they hit,Glassy, maybe we all need to just not care if it's all about us when we post, the conversation needs to keep going if we want a thread,a pop in of "have a great day" seems obligatory and doesn't help to breed any points of interest to keep the flow going, yet not posting at all is even worse, who knows, still tired so more coffee needed, waves to Rusty,Liz and Nora have a Fab AF Friday!

Pauly, your so right about keeping the conversation going. That laser thing bird sounds less invasive. I have never heard about it, but it might be worth a Google search. Maybe it's not something every doctor does? That Cherry blossom thing sounds like fun. I'm sure it's beautiful. If you take any pictures I would love to see them.
Yup, those cravings come on sometimes when you least expect them! I think it might be getting easier for me, but I'm not sure. Does that even make sense?
Dinner last night was excellent and the presentation was as well. I learned a lot. They did have wine, but it didn't even bother me that others were drinking. I did have to walk through the bar to get in and out of the restaurant which was packed. People looked like they were having a good time. That bothered me some. I'm over it.
I was supposed to go out to dinner with a friend tonight. Her older daughter and Mark used to attend a playgroup together and D. And I have remained friends. Her son has always been a challenge and was diagnosed with adhd and some type of sleep disorder. She texted me to cancel as her son had runout on them. She had reason to worry about him and called the police. They did find him and took him to our local mental health hospital. OMG, I feel so bad for her. He just spiraled out of control since I spoke to her last week. Anyway, hoping someone can help him. She didn't think he wasdoingdrugs or drinking.
Nora, Rusty and Glassie, waves and hope your doing ok.
